I have similar problem, but slight different error message. Here is South Korea (Republic of Korea) So No one have issue of China's Firewall. My users live in korea. [google-appengine] Cound not acces my site. (times out / connection failed)
I launched my website using google app engine, but my user complain about connectivity. They said they can access site at some time, but some time can't. I found thread below, but here(Korea) have no government issue.
