TextArea background color issue

2018-07-09 Thread Sriram Gellu
Hi All ,

Now, I want to highlight background of TextArea with some color.

tfDesc.getElement().getStyle().setBackgroundColor("#*fdfdbb*");

tfDesc.setStyle("background-color:#fdfdbb");

The problem is whenever some text is populated in the Text area , the
background color behind the text goes off , will be white color but
the other lines(where text is not present) stay in color in assigned.

Please help!

Thanks.

File Upload to a ASP and Getting Response as JSON

2009-02-27 Thread Sriram Iyengar

We are trying to upload a file from GWT app using FormPanel to an ASP
(.asp) application. The ASP app receives the file and is able to store
it locally. It returns back a JSON response. But, the response is
being received as null by FormSubmitCompleteEvent.getResults().

The JSON response is right and shows up when the .asp file is
submitted directly from a html. The content-type of the .asp response
is text/html.

Can we expect a correct JSON response from a .asp file running in IIS,
in the GWT application ?

Thanks,
Sriram

Thanks Thomas. It was the same issue. Now we are front ending the calls by
apache and have a reverse proxy setup to forward the calls to IIS.

 getResults() returning null is a symptom of facing the Same-Origin
 Policy: are you sure you're submitting your form to the same server
 (same scheme –http vs. https–, host name and port) your GWT app is
 served from?

}

Sample EntryPoint class

GWT Spring Integration

2008-12-11 Thread Sriram Iyengar

Hi, We have been trying to get GWT and Spring to work, but
unfortunately no luck as yet.

Our application makes a simple call to the service side of GWT (on
Spring MVC) and tries to render the response as a table (a list of
items).

If someone can post a working copy of a 'hello world' kind;a app, that
will be really great. I have tried to read many documents (gwt-sl)
etc., but no luck as yet.

Thanks,
Sriram

Re: Using a common code both at client and server side

2008-11-12 Thread sriram

Hi Jason,

Thank you very  much.
Correct me if i am wrong.
Is this a similar way, to creating a module

Jason Essington wrote:
 sure, and in fact it is quite common to use the same code in both
 places.

 The easy way to do this is to consolidate that shared code into a
 particular package ... something like com.foo.bar.shared

 Then create a new GWT.xml file com/foo/bar.Shared.gwt.xml and add
 source path=shared/

 your module containing your entry point would then add inherits
 name=com.foo.bar.Shared/

 and your server code would just reference those classes like normal.

 The trick here is to remember to only place translatable code in
 com.foo.bar.shared. Since it is going to be compiled to javascript, it
 will have to abide by all of the rules of client code.
