Re: [H] OT: Comcast 250 GB limit
Nothing here yet and I'm a big downloader of TV shows. Was this a power play by Comcast to get people to self limit themselves or intimidation to limit movie and television downloads from non-Comcast sites? It seems fishy that they are able to declare a limit and in a year's time still not provide a way to monitor subscribers own usage. Curious as to everybody's take on this. Re: [H] OT: Comcast 250 GB limit
I've been monitoring my usage and for a few months in a row, I topped 250 - in the 260-290 range, not a peep from Comcast, no throttling obviously (otherwise there's no way I would have hit 250+ in a month). Maybe my neighborhood is underused and my usage doesn't make a dent in the available pipe. Am moving homes in the next month or so, hopefully my new area will be just as good (same choice of providers - Comcast or nothing). -Original Message- From: hardware-boun...@hardwaregroup.com [mailto:hardware-boun...@hardwaregroup.com] On Behalf Of James Maki Sent: Monday, October 12, 2009 7:58 PM To: hardware@hardwaregroup.com Subject: [H] OT: Comcast 250 GB limit Well, it has been over a year since Comcast instituted their 250 GB cap and they still do not have a way to monitor your usage.
