Have just joined HaSafran to be able to ask this question so please
forgive me if the style and wording is not as usually done.
I am a volunteer in the JCC of Greater Washington's Kass Judaic
library. (I am not a librarian though I am a reader, founder of book
discussion groups (founded first at the age of 11), and took
bibliographic courses in college. In addition I teach Jewish studies.)
The library is getting rid of most of its collection. I have just
been asked to suggest what should be withdrawn and what should be
kept for Elazar call numbers 0 - 99, Bible and Biblical
studies. Does anyone have suggestions for bibliographies of classic
and essential works that I can pass on to the staff member? (I am
not comfortable making such decisions on my own.)
Thank you. Shavua Tov.
