[ha-Safran] Reprinted Haggadah from 1943
Dear Safranim, I am pleased to announce the release of a new edition of a Judaeo-Arabic retelling of the Passover story, whose unlikely title is "The Hitler Haggadah." The book was published in Rabat, Morocco in 1943 during the Allied campaign's Operation Torch, and the author describes the Passover story through that military lens. The haggadah was never reprinted. This year, it is being published with both Hebrew and English translations, along with some explanatory essays. [ha-Safran] (no subject)
Hello, I am looking for archived recordings of synagogue services and sermons. I am aware that Park Avenue Synagogue has a large archive. I am also interested in one-off recordings that are not part of a larger archive or recordings that were not made on behalf of the synagogue. Please respond privately. [ha-Safran] Jewish culture in obsolete formats
Hello, I'm looking to write about aspects of American Jewish culture that are at risk of being lost because they are locked away on audio cassettes, records, VHS tapes, and other rarely used media formats. I'm looking for: (1) examples of significant Jewish media that originally existed in one of these formats and never made the leap to digital; (2) any significant collections in an obsolete format that have not yet been digitized Thank you!
