Re: [hlcoders] Full Update failing
I've sorted out the slots sticking around between servers (casts = trouble), but the lack of a full update on load/join is still an issue. [hlcoders] Full Update failing
I worked out my EHandle array in the end, and it works great. There seems to be a problem with full updates though. I think this console output speaks for itself: > server slot 1 populated > server slot 2 populated > server slot 3 populated > server slot 4 populated > server slot 5 empty > server slot 6 empty > server slot 7 empty > server slot 8 empty > server slot 9 empty > server slot 10 empty > Sending full update to Client Theory > client slot 1 empty > client slot 2 empty > client slot 3 empty > client slot 4 empty > client slot 5 empty > client slot 6 empty > client slot 7 empty > client slot 8 empty > client slot 9 empty > client slot 10 empty When I load a saved game (or I suppose join a remote server), the HUD thinks that all of the slots are empty. Conversely, when I pick up a few items in a new game, then start /another/ new one, the HUD slots remain filled. Adding new items DOES work. In the quote above, slot five would be the first used, and would light up normally. Am I missing a process you have to go through to add vars to full updates? ___ To unsubscribe, edit your list preferences, or view the list archives, please visit: http://list.valvesoftware.com/mailman/listinfo/hlcoders

Re: [hlcoders] MountFileSystem( 312 ) failed...
Mike, while you're at it can you fix the Mounting content problem in Debug mode? (Its on bugzilla) Mike Durand wrote: > We're aware of the problem and are looking to make a fix. Re: [hlcoders] MountFileSystem( 312 ) failed...
We're aware of the problem and are looking to make a fix. Not sure if the fix will be an update to the Ep1 engine or an update to Steam at this point. I'll advise the list when I have an ETA on the fix. -Mike -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Janek Sent: Tuesday, March 25, 2008 10:38 AM To: Discussion of Half-Life Programming Subject: Re: [hlcoders] MountFileSystem( 312 ) failed... My mod is based on ep1 (215). Maybe it is only broken in ep1 but is still ok for Orange box engine. 2008/3/25, Janek <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>: > > Yes my mod is still ep1 coz I'm based on hl2mp. > > 2008/3/25, Tony omega Sergi <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>: > > > > is your mod still ep1? > > > > > > On Tue, Mar 25, 2008 at 9:56 AM, Janek <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > > > > I found it is due to the fact I'm trying to mount content of HL2MP > > using: > > >filesystem->MountSteamContent(320); > > > Is there something explaining this problem in new update from > > SourceSDK ? > > > > > > [EMAIL PROTECTED] > > > > > > 2008/3/25, Janek <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>: > > > > > > > > Hi, > > > > > > > > This morning, launching my mod (which was working yesterday), I > > > discovered > > > > this "Engine Error" panel : > > > > MountFileSystem( 312 ) failed: > > > > SteamMountFileSystemSystem(296,312,0xfebc74=,0xfebd74) failed with > > error > > > 5: > > > > No Steam Content Servers are available > > > > > > > > Is it really only due to "No Steam Content Servers are available" or > > is > > > it > > > > due to something else ? > > > > > > > > Thank you in advance for your answer. > > > > > > > > -- > > > > --- > > > > [EMAIL PROTECTED] > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > -- > > > --- > > > [EMAIL PROTECTED] > > > ___ > > > To unsubscribe, edit your list preferences, or view the list archives, > > > please visit: > > > http://list.valvesoftware.com/mailman/listinfo/hlcoders > > > > > > > > > > > > -- > > -omega > > ___ > > To unsubscribe, edit your list preferences, or view the list archives, > > please visit: > > http://list.valvesoftware.com/mailman/listinfo/hlcoders > > > > > > > -- > --- > [EMAIL PROTECTED] -- --- [EMAIL PROTECTED] ___ To unsubscribe, edit your list preferences, or view the list archives, please visit: http://list.valvesoftware.com/mailman/listinfo/hlcoders ___ To unsubscribe, edit your list preferences, or view the list archives, please visit: http://list.valvesoftware.com/mailman/listinfo/hlcoders
