Re: [hlds_linux] Steam Update Released
Does this new engine update uses less CPU than the other one or still the same Miguel Erik Johnson wrote: The Steam update is now live. You will either need to run Steam to get your server up to date, or download the raw files from us. This update is not compatible with older clients. We're hosting the files via BitTorrent from the links below. You can download and install BitTorrent from here: http://www.bitconjurer.org/BitTorrent/ The files themselves can be downloaded from here: COUNTER-STRIKE: - Fixed bug where shield would be invisible if a player picked the shield up immediately after throwing a grenade. - The round timer is now disabled when the bomb is planted. - The winning defensive team now gets the same amount of money whether they win by round timeout or not ($3250 instead of $2000) - Players on the offensive team who survive the round due to a round timeout no longer receive money the next round. - The Terrorists get an additional $800 per player if they plant the bomb but lose the round. - Fixed exploit where when a player died they could sometimes join the other team during the same round. ENGINE: - Fixed custom decals not being downloaded from the server correctly. - Fixed custom decals drawing incorrectly for the host of a listen server after another player joins. - Fixed vgui textures being corrupted after going over a number of level changes. - Fixed problem where player would be sometimes be forced to look straight up after task switching in and out of game in fullscreen d3d mode. - Fixed problem in sound system where it wouldn't properly be shutdown at the end of a .wav file. - Fixed banner picture not working correctly in HLTV. GAMEUI: - Fixed error message that was cut off when a player was disconnected from a game server. SERVER BROWSER: - Fixed Opposing Force not showing up in the server browser game filter. ___ To unsubscribe, edit your list preferences, or view the list archives, please visit: http://list.valvesoftware.com/mailman/listinfo/hlds ___ To unsubscribe, edit your list preferences, or view the list archives, please visit: http://list.valvesoftware.com/mailman/listinfo/hlds_linux ___ To unsubscribe, edit your list preferences, or view the list archives, please visit: http://list.valvesoftware.com/mailman/listinfo/hlds_linux
Re: [hlds_linux] Problems with HLDS Update Tool
roll back, roll back and roll back. good solution. real good solution. donĀ“t you want to roll back all steam stuff and give us the traditional way of distributing files, i mean, a http download. Miguel Erik Johnson wrote: This is a multi-part message in MIME format. -- [ Picked text/plain from multipart/alternative ] There will be a new version of the HLDSUpdateTool released in the near future (a couple of hours maximum) that will roll back the verify functionality that is causing server administrators problems. Re: [hlds_linux] Failed to get valid content ticket
I think (and I hope) that this problem is caused for the high number of people connnecting to update. Take a look at fileplanet.com, the lines for the new installer that have cs 1.6 and hl 1.1.2 are completly full. Miguel Alastair Grant wrote: It is getting slighly annoying now. If anybody knows a solution to this please share. Or is this just another reason why it is a stupid idea not to release 'network install' versions of server software.
