I picked up a Chinese version of the piccolo horn recently and found it to
be surprisingly playable and in tune.
It's pitched the same as a Bb trumpet and sounds between a horn and trumpet.

Subject: [Hornlist] John Packer Mini French Horn
Hi
I have seen this instrument on the J Packer website and am seriously
thinking about buying it (not, I would stress as a serious instrument). Does
anyone have any experience of this horn? (Intonation? Durability?... that
sort of thing). Any opinions as to how it compares with the Wisemann or
Berkeley versions?
Regards
