She is a pretty mare, but she went through some ugly duckling phases! She
seems ready to
start a little more "advanced" training. Her steering is pretty good, her stop
is solid,
and she understands leg cues for lateral movements. She's not particularly
worried about
going out alone, but not 100% confident alone either. So, we'll take her out
with another
horse first a few times to see how that goes, and if she seems fine, then Cary
will try
taking her out alone. He likes going on the trail, and since "finesse
training" is not
his thing (what an understatement!) that is his job. She's a good sized mare,
built much
like Skjoni, so I expect she'll do fine with him up.
