Can you please specify which version of Ubuntu you are using? If you're using Ubuntu 12.04 , go to Ubuntu Software Center and search for the applications and install it. Note that you should be connected to Internet while using Ubuntu Software Center. @murali I think its a spelling mistake.. open terminal and type sudo apt-get install gnome-panel ( or copy and paste this command ). Try..
