Open home directory, enable show hidden files and go to .mozilla folder. There you will find firefox folder. In firefox folder copy default folder and paste it on your desktop. Next go to Synaptic package manager and search for firefox and mark it for reinstall, apply changes and wait. It will reinstall your browser with your last profile and bookmarks history. If it fails to perform up to your expectations, please go to package manager again and mark it for complete removal. Next go to terminal and do "sudo apt-get install firefox", this will make a clean install. After install copy the contents from your old default firefox folder from your desktop and paste it in the same directory in the new firefox. In my opinion your firefox crashes due to worm or LSO. Install add ons like better privacy, ad block plus, dr web, xmarks for security and data back up. In addition, check rootkits and virus. Hai friends, mozilla weavs is a good option to backup your bookmarks and history. Anyway, it will be very helpful to add an 'export' feature, that can export these items in to a local file. That folder contains a folder named "vkuuxfit.default" and "profile.ini". I could make new profiles and the profile.ini have some changes now...
