Cannot access ^M/CVSROOT

2004-09-15 Thread David Robison
I am having trouble access a CVS repository that I have been able to
access in the past. I'm using CVS from the cygwin distribution on
Windows XP SP2. I'm using cvs version 1.11.17. When I try a command, I
get the error:

Cannot access /src/master^M/CVSROOT
No such file or directory
What is interesting is that between the "master" and the "/CVSROOT" is a
0x0d character. This seems to be causing trouble, Any idea where this is
coming from? Any idea what to try?

Any help would be appreciated.

I rolled back to an older version of cygwin1.dll and all works fine now!

I recently did an update from cygwin and updated to OpenSSH version
3.9p1. Now, every time I try to work with a CVS repository that uses
SSH authentication, the csv process hangs with no output. CVS works
fine for repositories with pserver authentication. Any ideas what
might be going on? Any way I can further debug this? I'm using CVSNT
version 2.0.41a that came with WinCVS.

It sounds like that openssh is broke, if the older one worked.
Have you tried asking on the cygwin list if anyone else if having the
problem?
