CVS Login ERROR...
Hi, These are the two types of Errors that i Get when i try to install cvs on a LInux system and then try to run winCVS on the client system. 1 ) [EMAIL PROTECTED] CVSROOT]# cvs -d /raid/cvsroot commit /root/CVSROOTcvs [commit aborted]: 'root' is not allowed to commit files 2 ) cvs [login aborted]: connect to 192.168.0.3(192.168.0.3):2401 failed: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it. Login Connection Error
Hi, I am trying to connect to my cvs server thru the cmd cvs -d :pserver:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/raid/cvsroot login It is giving an error : cvs [login aborted]: connect to 192.168.0.3(192.168.0.3):2401 failed: Connection refused could any one give some leads on this . Commit Error and Checkout Error
Hi, I am able to login into Cvs as root as well as a user. when I have logged in as a root i face some difficulties when trying to commit a file after making changes to the file.It says root is not allowed to commit files. when i am logging as a user i am unable to checkout the files. Checkout Error
Hi, When i try to checkout file logged in as a user i get the following error . cvs checkout: failed to create lock directory for `/cvs/cvsroot/web' (/cvs/cvsroot/web/#cvs.lock): Permission denied cvs checkout: failed to obtain dir lock in repository `/cvs/cvsroot/web' cvs [checkout aborted]: read lock failed - giving up could anyone clarify me . Hi, I need to know how to give permissions to the cvs users. The user can checkout and commit the files . They should not have permissions to remove the file that has been checked out. Query in using CVS
Hi, I want some details on using Cvs. I have certain modules. I want to give read permissions to certain users on these modules while for other modules they can have write permissions. Is it possible for specifying restrictions on the same repositary for individual users for different modules. The same users can aslo have write permissions to other modules. Importing into Different Repositories
Hi All, I am having more than 2 repositaries. I am importing source files into the repositories. I want to know how to do this. Is there any option in the import command.
