Re: [IRCA] 910 question
Here near Chicago I am more likely to get KCJB than KJJQ with country but could be either. AB on 910 is extremely rare here, but the more northerly the bearing from them gets the easier they seem which coincides with their night pattern. 73 KAZ -Original Message- >From: Tim Hills >Sent: Dec 16, 2011 10:59 AM >To: Niel Wolfish , Mailing list for the International Radio >Club of America >Subject: Re: [IRCA] 910 question > >Neil, > >KJJQ "The Ranch" in Volga, SD runs 500W directional with one lobe in >your direction and is farm/CW format. >I've caught WGTO at their sunrise power up from here before KJJQ buries >them. > >A note for the early birds in the CME to the west and not too far east >of here. > >KZOY "Always in the 80s" 1520 has been pushing sunrise by about an hour. >Morning Jock seems to like Chicago, Toto and Kansas lately. 400W/ND but >you never know. > >Tim Hills >Sioux Falls, SD > >On 12/16/2011 7:51, Niel Wolfish wrote: >> Had somebody playing Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young's "Carry On" (from 1970) >> at 7:12 a.m. this morning on 910. Re: [IRCA] 910 question
Neil, KJJQ "The Ranch" in Volga, SD runs 500W directional with one lobe in your direction and is farm/CW format. I've caught WGTO at their sunrise power up from here before KJJQ buries them. A note for the early birds in the CME to the west and not too far east of here. KZOY "Always in the 80s" 1520 has been pushing sunrise by about an hour. Morning Jock seems to like Chicago, Toto and Kansas lately. 400W/ND but you never know.
