[JAWS-Users] Re: Managing photos
If Larry wants to discuss managing photos I see no problem with it after reviewing his original email to the list. He mentioned operating system ETC, so that's fine. This is sort of a gray area as topics go, but we'll let it go and see how it progresses. [JAWS-Users] Re: Managing photos
Hi I can share with you how I manage digital pictures. Usually, I've got a sighted person taking the pictures for me. I have them provide me with info so that I either make a list on my computer, or on my digital recorder. This list contains a very brief description of the picture, and either its actual number from the camera, or which picture in the sequence it is, first, second, etc. When I connect my digital camera to my computer, it appears in the My Computer list as just another drive. I navigate to the folder on the camera storage device and locate the list of pictures currently residing on it. I then copy the pictures to a folder on my computer. You will either identify the pictures by their number assigned by the camera, or you will just have to remember that the pictures you are looking for are the last 5 pictures, for example. Once I have the pictures on my hard drive, I rename them to something that will remind me of the pictures contents. You are going to have to hope someone else knows what to do to post these pictures up on e-bay. I am using either JFW 7.x or 8.x which either one will work best, Windows XP home and an Olympus M10 digital camera. Judgment call I suppose. If you can work jaws in to the mix then go ahead and discuss it on here. David Ferrin Never purchase the first version of anything.
