Lisa, since you're using another Freedom Scientific product (OpenBook), definitely don't remove shared components. Doing so will result in a malfunction of OpenBook that may require reinstallation. Look in it's own program sub menu for the uninstall option and no do not remove shared components. You should be just fine.
