[JBoss-user] Where does JBoss 3.2.2RC3 search for user.properties?
Hi All, I've been trying to get an application working that uses web services, but has no .WAR file within my .EAR file. I have found that the new UsernamePassword authenticator seems to find users.properties within my WEB-INF/classes for web applications, which is good. But I can't seem to find a good location for users.properties and roles.properties for this web service app. The usual server/all/conf placement doesn't work like it used to. I'm expecting the 'other' JAAS configuration to work like it did in JBoss 3.2.1. But it doesn't seem to. What am I missing? Thanks in advance. -Neal --- This SF.net email is sponsored by: VM Ware With VMware you can run multiple operating systems on a single machine. WITHOUT REBOOTING! But it doesn't seem to. What am I missing? Okay, I've done some digging, finding that the UsersRolesLoginModule loads the properties files by asking the classloader for them. So, basically anywhere in my .EAR classpath will work. I was just not actually including the .properties files at the root of my EJB jarfile. Once I did that, they were found. I like having per-application control over these files. Nice. -Neal --- This SF.net email is sponsored by: VM Ware With VMware you can run multiple operating systems on a single machine. [JBoss-user] JMS: JBoss to Weblogic messaging
Hi, All: Can anyone give me feedback on performing JMS messaging to/from JBoss/WebLogic environments? Should there be any issues with guaranteed messaging? In theory, there should be interoperability between the two environments as implied by the J2EE specification. Has anyone put this scenario in to production? Re: [JBoss-user] JAAS problem
Hi, Your actual error is caused by the login module trying to access the default initial context (you don't have one). It wont be able to access the java:/ namespace anyway (this is only available inside the same virtual machine using naming properties that don't specify a providerurl). The connection pool is not a remote object. Regards, Adrian On Sun, 2003-08-24 at 19:13, Maiquel Sampaio de Melo wrote: Hi all, Hi trying to run a test client with jaas. Anybody home? Hello? Do you read your own mailing list? 5 of the last 6 posts to JBoss-user are bounces from boneheaded (why in the earth do they think it's important to tell a mailing list someone on it sent a virus, I'll never understand) anti-virus scanners. [JBoss-user] Problems with jsp temp files
Hello, i experienced a weird behaviour with Jboss 3.2.2 RC2 and RC3 with tomcat under Linux. If i do start jboss with run.sh and dont have write access into my current working directory (lets say directly from root dir) and deploy a webapp i will get an error each time a jsp is going to be compiled. The problem is that jasper cannot create some tmp file. Jasper doesnt try to use the jboss tmp dir or system tmp dir but uses my working directory at the time i started jboss, which in turn isnt writeable. So for the root dir as workdir i will get an exception of the form java.io.FileNotFoundException: /files1853743073 (Permission denied). Exception stack trace is in the attached file. Anyone knows a solution? Besides running jboss from a writeable dir plz :) Thanks Juraj Vasko 21:11:43,062 ERROR [Engine] Exception: Error creating temporary file at org.apache.tools.ant.taskdefs.compilers.DefaultCompilerAdapter.executeExternalCompile(DefaultCompilerAdapter.java:429) at org.apache.tools.ant.taskdefs.compilers.JavacExternal.execute(JavacExternal.java:81) at org.apache.tools.ant.taskdefs.Javac.compile(Javac.java:842) at org.apache.tools.ant.taskdefs.Javac.execute(Javac.java:682) at org.apache.jasper.compiler.Compiler.generateClass(Compiler.java:317) at org.apache.jasper.compiler.Compiler.compile(Compiler.java:370) at org.apache.jasper.JspCompilationContext.compile(JspCompilationContext.java:473) at org.apache.jasper.servlet.JspServletWrapper.service(JspServletWrapper.java:190) at org.apache.jasper.servlet.JspServlet.serviceJspFile(JspServlet.java:295) at org.apache.jasper.servlet.JspServlet.service(JspServlet.java:241) at javax.servlet.http.HttpServlet.service(HttpServlet.java:853) at org.apache.catalina.core.ApplicationFilterChain.internalDoFilter(ApplicationFilterChain.java:247) at org.apache.catalina.core.ApplicationFilterChain.doFilter(ApplicationFilterChain.java:193) at sk.tenax.tasys.web.filter.RequestCharacterEncodingFilter.doFilter(RequestCharacterEncodingFilter.java:64) at org.apache.catalina.core.ApplicationFilterChain.internalDoFilter(ApplicationFilterChain.java:213) at org.apache.catalina.core.ApplicationFilterChain.doFilter(ApplicationFilterChain.java:193) at org.apache.catalina.core.StandardWrapperValve.invoke(StandardWrapperValve.java:256) at org.apache.catalina.core.StandardPipeline$StandardPipelineValveContext.invokeNext(StandardPipeline.java:643) at org.apache.catalina.core.StandardPipeline.invoke(StandardPipeline.java:480) at org.apache.catalina.core.ContainerBase.invoke(ContainerBase.java:995) at org.apache.catalina.core.StandardContextValve.invoke(StandardContextValve.java:191) at org.apache.catalina.core.StandardPipeline$StandardPipelineValveContext.invokeNext(StandardPipeline.java:643) at org.jboss.web.tomcat.security.JBossSecurityMgrRealm.invoke(JBossSecurityMgrRealm.java:228) at org.apache.catalina.core.StandardPipeline$StandardPipelineValveContext.invokeNext(StandardPipeline.java:641) at org.apache.catalina.authenticator.AuthenticatorBase.invoke(AuthenticatorBase.java:553) at org.apache.catalina.core.StandardPipeline$StandardPipelineValveContext.invokeNext(StandardPipeline.java:641) at org.apache.catalina.valves.CertificatesValve.invoke(CertificatesValve.java:246) at org.apache.catalina.core.StandardPipeline$StandardPipelineValveContext.invokeNext(StandardPipeline.java:641) at org.jboss.web.tomcat.tc4.statistics.ContainerStatsValve.invoke(ContainerStatsValve.java:76) at org.apache.catalina.core.StandardPipeline$StandardPipelineValveContext.invokeNext(StandardPipeline.java:641) at org.apache.catalina.core.StandardPipeline.invoke(StandardPipeline.java:480) at org.apache.catalina.core.ContainerBase.invoke(ContainerBase.java:995) at org.apache.catalina.core.StandardContext.invoke(StandardContext.java:2416) at org.apache.catalina.core.StandardHostValve.invoke(StandardHostValve.java:180) at org.apache.catalina.core.StandardPipeline$StandardPipelineValveContext.invokeNext(StandardPipeline.java:643) at org.apache.catalina.valves.ErrorDispatcherValve.invoke(ErrorDispatcherValve.java:171) at org.apache.catalina.core.StandardPipeline$StandardPipelineValveContext.invokeNext(StandardPipeline.java:641) at org.apache.catalina.valves.ErrorReportValve.invoke(ErrorReportValve.java:172) at org.apache.catalina.core.StandardPipeline$StandardPipelineValveContext.invokeNext(StandardPipeline.java:641) at org.jboss.web.tomcat.security.SecurityAssociationValve.invoke(SecurityAssociationValve.java:65) at org.apache.catalina.core.StandardPipeline$StandardPipelineValveContext.invokeNext(StandardPipeline.java:641) at
