[apper] [Bug 384165] Plasma5 Crash after Updating System with Update Plugin
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=384165 --- Comment #5 from Bill Wayson --- After today's update of openSUSE Tumbleweed, *no* problem was experienced after the Software Update system tray applet finished, which is good. On this PC with Tumbleweed, this is the first time Plasma has not crashed in many weeks. Tumbleweed is now at version 20171101; Qt is version 5.9.2; Frameworks is version 5.39.0 (I think); and kernel is 4.13.10-1-default x86_64. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[kate] [Bug 386471] New: Hides mouse cursor after few seconds even during movement if using graphics tablet instead of mouse
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=386471 Bug ID: 386471 Summary: Hides mouse cursor after few seconds even during movement if using graphics tablet instead of mouse Product: kate Version: 17.04.3 Platform: Kubuntu Packages OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: kwrite-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: ma...@science.su Target Milestone: --- Mouse cursor hides automatically after few seconds if text field is under it. When I use touchpad or mouse, this is usually not a problem because it appears again if I try to move it. But when I move mouse cursor using my graphics tablet, KDE does not detect mouse cursor movements, and hides it even if I actively using it in text editor. Only way to unhide is to either touch the tablet surface (which would be like clicking blindly) or move the mouse cursor out of the text field (or I can slightly move it with touchpad or mouse, but it is very inconvenient when I'm holding stylus). When I use stylus to move mouse cursor, I can see events in /dev/input/mice. My tablet does have "stylus" device in "Virtual core pointer" section according to xinput. So I do not know why KDE ignores its activity, perhaps it monitors only relative motion events. I use Huion tablet but somebody with Wacom tablet have exactly the same issue( https://askubuntu.com/questions/967665/stop-kde-plasma-hiding-mouse-cursor-when-typing ). The problem can be reproduced in any KDE text editor, Kate, Kwrite, KDevelop, etc., so I'm not sure if I have chosen correct "product" for this bug, since it is not limited to Kate. But it is KDE-specific because does not happen in Firefox and other non-KDE software. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

Running Kubuntu 17.10 with latest backports (akonadi version: 4:17.04.3-0ubuntu1) All data which are on the caldav and carddav server are not shown in both programs. But if I create a new contact or a new entry in the calender in Kaddressbook resp. in Korganizer, these data will be synchronized as expected. I also have a gmail account and with this account everything is fine and Akonadi does a wonderful job to keep the belonging data in sync. I did a little bit of investigation but not much, because my knowledge and capabilities are heavily restricted when it comes to software and stuff. However, there are no failure messages and when I restart Akonadi in verbose mode, there are also no entries, I would see as a showstopper. See attached file. So if there is anything I can provide (extra data, information), just let me know. Thanks & Regards Steffen -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[KScreen] [Bug 386467] New: Expose auto-lip-sync value through kscreen-doctor
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=386467 Bug ID: 386467 Summary: Expose auto-lip-sync value through kscreen-doctor Product: KScreen Version: git Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: wishlist Priority: NOR Component: common Assignee: se...@kde.org Reporter: kdeb...@fratti.ch Target Milestone: --- HDMI 1.3 has a standard optional way for display devices such as TVs to signal back the input latency through EDID called "auto-lip-sync". This is intended for A/V receivers that pass through the video to the TV but play back the audio to adjust the audio playback delay to match the delay of the TV, as TVs tend to have several frames of input latency. Apparently HDMI 2.0 introduces an additional dynamic way to signal latency which does not use EDID. By exposing this in kscreen, applications could determine the approximate input latency of the screen they're currently running on, and adjust their audio delay accordingly if the audio isn't already being adjusted by the playback setup. Other uses could include games asking the user to change their TV setting if the reported latency is very high, or accurate syncing of external ambient lighting to video playback. This has very little real-world usability right this moment, but could come in handy for multimedia people to tinker with. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
