This was an intentional change, done in https://commits.kde.org/plasma-framework/7e52c869de2d58ff714b60252041a447db2c10c0, to fix Bug 370465. It looks like users of Icons-Only Task Managers don't mind this change; we haven't gotten any bug reports or complaints. But users of Traditional Task Managers have grumbled a bit. I'm not sure it should be reverted entirely; just look at the number of duplicates on the bug that was fixed by the change! But maybe we should brainstorm a way to make the change just for the IOTM, and use the old style for the TTM . Not sure how we could easily fix it since the TTM and IOTM both use the same SVGs, yet it looks like that set of SVGs always works better for one widget than the other. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[kstars] [Bug 417968] Critical Break: Guiding via MOUNT Unavailable.
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=417968 --- Comment #12 from mountainai...@outlook.com --- Another interesting observation: I hooked up my old RPi3 running Kstars 3.3.9 and the Celestron CGX guide option appeared immediately and seems to work fine -- and this is even when I'm controlling it remotely from KStars 3.4.0 on the Mac via INDI. My earlier comment wondering if this was a UI issue with the dropdown appears to be invalidated. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=417968 --- Comment #9 from mountainai...@outlook.com --- Created attachment 126364 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=126364=edit Celestron CGX (debug) + CCD Simulator Log This is the debug log you asked for, with the mount set to debug plus only the CCD simulator. Question, I once saw a similar issue with a dropdown in one of your apps; I forget where exactly it was, but I had two options but only one appeared in the list even though everything else operated fine. Is it possible the dropdown just isn't enumerating all the list options completely? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[digikam] [Bug 418120] New: Uninstaller recursively deleted C:/ drive
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=418120 Bug ID: 418120 Summary: Uninstaller recursively deleted C:/ drive Product: digikam Version: 6.4.0 Platform: Other OS: other Status: REPORTED Severity: grave Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: digikam-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: paul.daily@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY When trying to upgrade from 6.4.0 to 7 beta 2 I was prompted to uninstall 6.4.0 and to back up a copy of my database file. I did so, and after clicking to the next screen it proceeded to wipe most of my C:/ Drive. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Install 6.4.0, download latest beta 2. Follow instructions for uninstalling 6.4.0 3. Observe that 6000+ folders are removed from C: including appdata folder, $user/documents, $user/pictures, $user/downloads. OBSERVED RESULT Excerpt from uninstaller output: Note that I'm only taking a subset of standard folders and not showing the files that were also listed in the uninstaller output. ` Line 39225: Remove folder: C:\Users\ThisIsMyPC\Desktop\ Line 39293: Remove folder: C:\Users\ThisIsMyPC\Documents\Downloads\ Line 39307: Remove folder: C:\Users\ThisIsMyPC\Documents\ Line 54434: Remove folder: C:\Users\ThisIsMyPC\Start Menu\ Line 54437: Remove folder: C:\Users\ThisIsMyPC\Templates\ Line 54509: Remove folder: C:\Users\ThisIsMyPC\translations\ Line 54512: Remove folder: C:\Users\ThisIsMyPC\Videos\Captures\ Line 54515: Remove folder: C:\Users\ThisIsMyPC\Videos\ Line 54521: Remove folder: C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\digiKam 6.4.0\ EXPECTED RESULT It should just remove the stuff related to digikam not remove all of my files and folders. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows10: ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Removing the appdata folder was really the worst since I can't recover that folder. It broke the functionality of every browser on my computer, a system restore and "Previous versions" of folders could not repair the appdata folder removal. I've had malware do less damage than this. It really ruined my whole weekend. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[krusader] [Bug 418116] New: Started from command line. MANY warning/error messages! Sloppy coding?
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=418116 Bug ID: 418116 Summary: Started from command line. MANY warning/error messages! Sloppy coding? Product: krusader Version: 2.7.2 Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: synchronize Assignee: krusader-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: ptrenho...@gmail.com CC: krusader-bugs-n...@kde.org Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY I've been running krusader to synchronize two (fairly large) directories for more that two weeks now. So I looked at the terminal instance from which I started it, and discovered several thousand warning messages. None of these massages are, of course, visible if the app is started from a menu, but their presence suggests the the coders did not think that wasting resources producing discarded messages was worth the time fixing the sloppy code. In any case, I fear that what should have been less that half a day of reading a reconciling the directories has now gone on for three weeks, and counting. See bellow for the top of the message list. The QPainter warnings - as far as I could see - are repeated from there to the end of the current terminal output. [okular] [Bug 418017] Okular does not play sound of an embedded media file
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=418017 --- Comment #5 from Alexander Willamowski --- Hi Okular developers, I put just an extract of my PDF presentation plus a small movie clip on my cloud driver of my email hoster https://c.gmx.net/@334653985707267862/KNsiHTvPRY23lHTYKsfJFA since even this does not fit to the limitations of file attachments of bugs.kde.org This time the movie is of type mp4 but it has the same issue: Video plays fine but no sound at all. I hope that this example works for you locally since I don't know if the PDF embeddeds the movie directly or just references to it (so as I hoped to use it not to blow up the PDF size itself). Again thanks for your support and good luck! Kind regards, Alexander -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[systemsettings] [Bug 418113] New: Overall, I think KDE Plasma “Shortcuts” should be renewed

Here are a few examples: – Custom Shortcuts, Basic Konqueror gestures. Konqueror is a KDE Plasma component that is no longer used and is not installed by default with KDE neon. – General Shortcuts, Other Shortcuts, Juk. Since Juk is replaced by Elisa Player, there should be Elisa Player shortcuts instead of Juk. – General Shortcuts, no shortcuts are assigned to the Event Manager. – There are many shortcuts waiting to be assigned. – Instead of the Systemmonitor application opened with CTRL + Esc keys, it should be KSysGuard. (In the system, the Systemmonitor and KSysGuard dry together. Someone needs to be deleted) Thank you. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. [lattedock] [Bug 417886] Sharing layouts dont work
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=417886 --- Comment #53 from Michail Vourlakos --- Ok You can do the following: 1. L1 to Activity2 2. Add a new layout and name it, Clean 3. Clean to NO ACTIVITIES 4. Share Default layout to L1 AND Clean 5. Click Apply 6. Select Clean layout and click Switch 7. Remove from Clean layout the dock that you do not need in order for Clean layout to NOT HAVE ANY DOCKS AT ALL in the end. Be careful if a dock from a Normal layout occupies the same edge with a dock from Shared layout then the dock from Shared layout is shown. Be careful to not delete by mistake the dock of Default and Shared layout instead of the Clean Layout. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
