[kmymoney] [Bug 466972] New: Difficulty translating kmymoney.cpp i18n string "save storage"
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=466972 Bug ID: 466972 Summary: Difficulty translating kmymoney.cpp i18n string "save storage" Classification: Applications Product: kmymoney Version: git (master) Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: wishlist Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: kmymoney-de...@kde.org Reporter: okell...@users.sourceforge.net Target Milestone: --- On git master kmymoney/kmymoney.cpp class KMyMoneyApp functions slotFileSave and slotFileSaveAs, there are the i18n strings "Failed to save your storage." "Couldn't find suitable plugin to save your storage." "Couldn't find any plugin for saving storage." I find this hard to translate. Translating it literally (to Esperanto) gives "Malsukcesis konservi vian konservejon." "Ne eblis trovi [...]programon por konservi vian konservejon." "Ne eblis trovi [...]programon por konservi konservejon." The duplication "to save" (konservi) and "storage" (konservejo) looks strange. What is meant by "storage"? Could it be thought of as "data"? Please either change the term "storage" to something clearer, or (if that is not adequate) provide i18n context for easier translation. Many thanks. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[valgrind] [Bug 466104] aligned_alloc problems, part 1
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=466104 Paul Floyd changed: What|Removed |Added Status|REPORTED|RESOLVED Resolution|--- |FIXED --- Comment #10 from Paul Floyd --- I haven't much changed Linux glibc, but just about all the other platforms have been overhauled. The behaviour is still static. However it shouldn't be too difficult to refactor the present code to make it runtime configurable. If ever we do that then we could have a set of bitmasks that would correspond to things like VG_MEMALIGN_ALIGN_POWER_TWO (there 1 to 4 per function). Then we could have either specific options or options like --malloc-lib=tcmalloc (or both). That would add a bit of overhead - the current code with static macros should optimize out all the ones that are turned off. commit e8d4d64e46cde7507c3716ad8094d886e8824fa4 (HEAD -> master, origin/master, origin/HEAD) Author: Paul Floyd Date: Mon Mar 6 21:50:01 2023 +0100 Bug 466104 - aligned_alloc problems, part 1 I think that these are all now done. This commit refactors memalign and updates manual-core.xml to say some behaviour of Valgrind depends on the build time OS and libraries. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[kwin] [Bug 466741] wayland: 2 monitor setup with 175%/100% scaling: mouse scroll-wheel creates a jumping motion when operated slowly
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=466741 --- Comment #2 from slartibar...@gmail.com --- I did some further testing and i think this could also be related to the mouse-settings I'm using a logitech M525 mouse and solaar running in the backround. It's using the 'scroll wheel high resolution' option set to enabled. Depending on how you (gently) touch the scrollwheel, this causes jumps when operated slowly and gets smoother the quicker you scroll. Maybe this has nothing to do with plasma/screen renderings And yes, firefox behaves differently as chrome regarding scrolling. I'd say the culprit is the mouse, i am tempted to close this as well... -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

Something unusual, which might be unrelated: The main window fails to show the list of rooms and the chat history when I log into KDE. kwallet asks for my passwort but when I enter it, Neochat keeps showing a loading bar. I can only start Neochat by running it from the console. I'll add that to the "see also" section once I've reported that issue as well.
