I'd like to suggest moving settings and preferences from
"~/.local/share/kdenlive" to "~/.config/kdenlive". Preferences such as
shortcuts, export presets, effects presets, LUTs, titles, library, lumas[, and
profiles?] — essentially, things that the user can customize and would like to
take with them from system to system.

>From what I've read, "~/.config" is the preferred place for preferences in the
Linux world, analogous to "~/Library/Preferences" on macOS, and I've checked
myself that most apps I have installed do indeed store their preferences in
"~/.config", so it makes it much easier to backup preferences if they are all
in one place.

Does that make sense?

Your screenshot shows you as trying to match against the Author instead of the
Title, which would understandably not show a book with that title. Is that the
case? Can you show a screenshot of the Filter dialog instead? I can't reproduce

I also tried Kmymoney 5.1.3 on a Windows 11 virtual machine (from my Manjaro
system) and it produced the PDF reports without any problem. So perhaps this is
specific to how Kmymoney was compiled for the  Manjaro and Garuda community
repositories.

When using an app launcher other than Application Launcher 2.0 (This would
include "Legacy Application Launcher" (Legacy Kickoff), "Application
Dashboard", and "Application Launcher (Unibody)"), scrolling in the menus is
buggy on Wayland. The scroll speed is super slow and instantly goes back to the
top of the screen when the bottom of the list is reached. This does not happen
on Xorg.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Use a launcher other than "Application Launcher 2.0"
2. Scroll in a vertical menu to the bottom of the list
3. Scrolling is very slow and it will pop back to the top of the list when the
bottom is reached.

OBSERVED RESULT
Scrolling is very slow pops back to the top of the list when the bottom is
reached in launchers other than "Application Launcher 2.0"

EXPECTED RESULT
Scrolling should be faster and consistent to the way it works in "Application
Launcher 2.0". Scrolling to the bottom of a vertical list should not send a
user back to the top.

Resetting to default in the advanced metadata configuration section resolved
the issue. Something was added to the list of modules when I clicked the reset
button, but I unfortunately didn't catch exactly which one. Behavior is now as
expected, and metadata is written to both the EXIF and XMP.

Thank you for your response. I did mention my OS(s) in my original report, but
perhaps I put it in the wrong section (I put it in the OBSERVED RESULT
section). I tried it on two different machines: one is a desktop running
Manjaro linux and the other is a laptop running Garuda linux. These are both
Arch derivatives.  I tried using the same "print to PDF" option in the KDE
application Kate and had no similar problems.  From Kate, the PDF file was
clear (including fonts of various colors).  You mention that you think the
fonts in the Kmymoney report are light colored and thus unreadable.  I think it
may have something to do with the colored backgrounds in the section where the
fonts are unreadable. You will note in the file I attached that the fonts are
very clear in the sections of the report where there is no colored background.

Hello there, On X11 session when I switch to fullscreen on game the screen from

In the KMyMoney settings dialog, Ledger section. Display tab, is "Show all
ledger entries in full detail" checked?  If so, the ledger lens doesn't show
any additional detail, so it looks like it's always on.

The draggable toolbar doesnt open the second time, because Spectacle never
closed to begin with after the first time.

EXPECTED RESULT
Spectacle closes after the first capture and reopens when the Shortcut is
called again, making it possible to use the toolbar the second time the
Shortcut is invoked.

Hi, thanks for taking a look! It seems that the problem is with the encoding of
my files as you said. I tried the steps you listed and with the transcoded file
I can't reproduce the issue. The original clip I showed in that video is too
large to upload, but I have a different clip recorded on the same day that I'm
seeing the same problem with, so I will attach that to help us understand the
issue.

I can confirm the autohide behaviour in Arch Linux.

On logging into plasma, both my top and left hand side autohide panels do not
autohide until I mouse over them. If I open a non full screen app before
mousing over the panels, the app is positioned so that it doesn't cover the
panels.

This behaviour started happening after a recent system update although I can't
recall which and occurs without fail.

Both my autohide panels are floating.

SUMMARY
When digiKam is configured to write rating to metadata, and "delegate to
ExifTool backend for all operations to write metadata to files" is selected,
rating is not written to metadata for HEIC files. Rating is written to metadata
as expected for JPG and PNG files. Other metadata, such as tags, is written as
expected to HEIC files.


STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. In digiKam, navigate to Settings > Configure digiKam > Metadata. Ensure
checkboxes next to "Rating" and "Delegate to ExifTool backend for all
operations to write metadata to files" are selected.
2. Using digiKam, rate a photo that has a filetype of HEIC.
3. Click Item > Write metadata to file.
4. Review metadata in digiKam or in Windows File Explorer properties menu.

OBSERVED RESULT
Rating is not written to file metadata (neither EXIF nor XMP).


EXPECTED RESULT
Rating should be written to file metadata.

Oh and while normally the panel would come out of hiding when the pointer gets
to the very edge of the screen, it acts as if the edge is on the opposite
border instead, so moving the pointer to the area the panel is drawn at will
already trigger unhiding it.

I have to say that this feature is needed for me too. A few apps that are
started on wayland with xwayland crash, freeze, incorrectly working and so on,

At last, someone else who is seeing this.  :]

I'm using KWin with LXQt on Gentoo Linux here, and so far I haven't met anyone
else who is able to re-produce this.

There's no need for a small screen, at least for me (1440p), and I'm unable to
move any window past the top as well as the left side (single monitor or dual
monitor set up both).

Additionally, my panel is acting weird if placed on the top or the left side:
even if set to hide automatically, it acts as if it is always visible.  That
is, it's impossible to select anything below it, and clicks go to the panel
even if it is still visually hidden.

Further, if set to be animated, it will always be instantaneous instead of
smooth as it should be, and if set to have a visible thin margin, the panel
never goes completely into hiding (it kind of moves a little bit).

I think this started around 5.27.4; unfortunately I haven't had the chance to
find the exact commit.

users kcm: hack around indexing confusion in swipeview

swipeview gets confused over which index it is on causing it to
automatically switch to an incorrect index. I know it has to do with
Container internals but haven't quite managed to track it down in
reasonable time. there are various Qt bug reports to do with
currentIndex handling being buggy though.

intermediate index resets seem to make the view behave accordingly so
let's apply one when setting the current index.

I can't reproduce the problem here with digiKam-8.1.0. The image is not changed
when rotating (MD5 checksum checked) and the read flags are not changed. The
image rotates in the digiKam view because the orientation flag is written
correctly to sidecar and DB. There were some changes here for digiKam-8.0.0.

Works fine here ("belongs" symbol displayed) with urw-fonts installed. It seems
that the font substitution system cannot find the correct replacement for
Symbol font (not-embedded) in this PDF.

SUMMARY

I'm reading a scientific paper and came across a strange gap. Using other pdf
readers like the ones provided by firefox and chromium browsers, the symbol was
rendered correctly. The symbol in question being ∈. For some reason, it doens't
render, leaving a blank void. The text can be copied, however, which results in
this: `he  ∈` and sometimes this `den ∈`, it appears to be random. It's
possible this issue may need to be escalated to whoever maintains the poppler
backend, if that's where the issue lies.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open the example pdf
2. Scroll to page 3

OBSERVED RESULT

There is a blank void where the character should be.

EXPECTED RESULT

The character should be rendered correctly.

This is probably due to wayland. There is no problem like this with X11 based
distro.

Please also try the AppImage bundle that we provide instead the Flatpak, just
to see if the problem remain.
