[kdepim] [Bug 491076] New: Feature Request: do display one's own sender/recipient email address and name
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=491076 Bug ID: 491076 Summary: Feature Request: do display one's own sender/recipient email address and name Classification: Applications Product: kdepim Version: unspecified Platform: Manjaro OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: wishlist Priority: NOR Component: messagecore Assignee: kdepim-b...@kde.org Reporter: georg.schw...@freenet.de Target Milestone: --- KDE PIM does not display one's own email address and name, but instead replaces it with "me". This is certainly a feature appreciated by many users, however in a language like German this looks very awkward (for details see https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=469713). So it would be very desirable to be able to switch off that feature. I dug through the code to find out that it is a feature implemented in messagecore's stringutil. It is quite easy to add a switch, e.g. like this to messagelib/messagecore/src/utils/stringutil.cpp Change line 443 from const bool foundMe = onlyOneIdentity && (im->identityForAddress(prettyAddressStr) != KIdentityManagementCore::Identity::null()); to const bool foundMe = !(MessageCore::MessageCoreSettings::self()->displayOwnIdentity()) && onlyOneIdentity && (im->identityForAddress(prettyAddressStr) != KIdentityManagementCore::Identity::null()); and in messagelib/messagecore/src/settings/messagecore.kcfg add an item like this: false I added it to the General group, but I'm unsure whether this is the correct approach. Moreover I'm not sure whether the messagecore settings is the right spot for such a switch. To test it, I set the default to true and opened an email sent by me (or sent to me) in kmail2. Worked as expected. There should also be an easy way to change the setting via the CLI, isn't there? In addition, it would be nice to have a UI to toggle this setting. There seems to be a convenient way in messageviewer/src/ui/settings.ui, but I could not come up with an equivalent for messagecore. Or is having that setting in messagelib/messageviewer/src/settings/messageviewer.kcfg.in a better idea? (after all it's about displaying a message's header) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[okular] [Bug 370382] Using non-default size for custom stamp pixelates the stamp
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=370382 Keyu Tao changed: What|Removed |Added CC||taoky1...@gmail.com --- Comment #4 from Keyu Tao --- This looks like a bug related to QPixmap scaling and DPI stuffs. In setPopplerStampAnnotationCustomImage() it calls Okular::AnnotationUtils::loadStamp() with a rect size calculated from page size and annotation size. However it looks like this code assumes that 1 pts = 1 pixel on screen (72 DPI?), then in Okular::AnnotationUtils::loadStamp() the stamp is scaled too small, and results in a blurry result. setStampCustomImage() stores the scaled image in PDF, so stamps saved by Okular would also be blurry in other PDF readers. A very dirty workaround is to enforce it to be at least 288 (=72*4) DPI in setPopplerStampAnnotationCustomImage(): diff --git a/generators/poppler/annots.cpp b/generators/poppler/annots.cpp index 20ad117ea..9d0680919 100644 --- a/generators/poppler/annots.cpp +++ b/generators/poppler/annots.cpp @@ -285,7 +285,7 @@ static void setPopplerStampAnnotationCustomImage(const Poppler::Page *page, Popp const QSize size = page->pageSize(); const QRect rect = Okular::AnnotationUtils::annotationGeometry(oStampAnnotation, size.width(), size.height()); -QImage image = Okular::AnnotationUtils::loadStamp(oStampAnnotation->stampIconName(), qMax(rect.width(), rect.height())).toImage(); +QImage image = Okular::AnnotationUtils::loadStamp(oStampAnnotation->stampIconName(), qMax(rect.width(), rect.height())*4).toImage(); if (!image.isNull()) { pStampAnnotation->setStampCustomImage(image); I don't think it's a nice fix that should be included in upstream, but at least my signature image looks clear with this workaround. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[kdeconnect] [Bug 490689] KDE Connect not connecting to Android phone with KDE Connect app
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=490689 --- Comment #2 from kv3f5...@mailer.me --- Having the the same issue on Arch with the native package (so no flatpak). Some upgrade to firewall stuff seems to have caused it. Flushing nftables rules makes kdeconnect work again. More troubleshooting in this thread: https://discuss.kde.org/t/kdeconnect-no-devices-found/18983 The exact rule/cause is still on the air. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[plasmashell] [Bug 490297] Hidden icons in the system tray occasionally overlap when one of them is hovered
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=490297 --- Comment #2 from hakro --- (In reply to Nate Graham from comment #1) > Is the affected system using an NVIDIA GPU? I do have an Nvidia GPU, unfortunately, I'm not too sure if it was enabled or not when I encountered this issue. But just in case, Driver Version: 550.90.07 I'm on wayland As mentioned, I'm not able to consistently reproduce this issue, it happens randomly, but I think it mainly happens when I have an external monitor. Also, just as randomly, sometimes the apps becomes all empty. Can't even click the button to shutdown my laptop, and I have to press the power key in my keyboard to be able to shutdown or restart. I sometimes just run `plasmashell --replace &` and detach from the shell to fix it -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
