[kwin] [Bug 460710] Option to always search (never filter) when typing in search field
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=460710 Aitor changed: What|Removed |Added CC||m...@aitorpazos.es --- Comment #15 from Aitor --- (In reply to Nate Graham from comment #13) > Ok, thanks. > > These seem like quite niche edge cases, but nevertheless they seem valid to > try to support better. I hit this quite often, I wouldn't say it is a 1% situation. Overview is nowadays my solely launcher, it has taken ownership of my Meta+Space shortcut and it is great, but this really bugs me. The following situations are common for me: - I have a Firefox tab open that matches and then I can't open the application I need (already mentioned) - I have a terminal open in a given path and then I can't open that path quickly in dolphin as the terminal window gets matched Showing filtered windows bellow search matches would work nice for me. As keyboard navigation pattern, pressing up/down arrows could select searches and right/left could select windows matches. Windows matches could be the default selection for a typing + Enter use case if we are concerned about quickly switching between windows.. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=462730 Bug ID: 462730 Summary: When adding multiple panels to the same edge, widgets and windows are not correctly aligned Classification: Plasma Product: plasmashell Version: 5.26.4 Platform: OpenSUSE OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Panel Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org Reporter: m...@aitorpazos.es CC: niccolo.venera...@gmail.com Target Milestone: 1.0 Created attachment 154382 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=154382&action=edit Screenshot showing how windows/widgets are missplaced SUMMARY When adding multiple panels to the same screen edge, windows and widgets which should stick to the edge are not (the attached images should help). Applications like Yakuake or the activities switcher leave a significant space which is related to the number of panels. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Add multiple panels to the top edge OBSERVED RESULT The activities switcher widget or applications like Yakuake or Krunner (if set to appear on top of the screen) are not drawn fully until it touches the top of the screen or the panels lower boundary. EXPECTED RESULT Widgets and applications that are drawn in relation to the edge panels should be touching them (or close to them if they are floating) but they should not leave a bigger gap as we add more panels to the same screen edge.
