@Jean-Baptiste : I stand corrected, if I do the second part of your
explanation, new projects have proxies enabled. Everything is fine. Thanks for
your work, I've been using kdenlive since 2008 and the recent versions are
really better. I'm gonna make a donation asap.

@Jean-Baptiste : thanks, it worked. I feel so dumb for submitting a bug now, I
had searched in the kdenlive general config but not in the project config...
FIY if I open an existing project which already uses proxies, I have to do what
you said again for each project. It's not a problem to me though, but maybe the
15.12.2 doesn't read the proxy setting of a project when opening it...

Using this PPA"http://ppa.launchpad.net/vpinon/kdenlive-testing/ubuntu wily
main".
I was using the 15.12.1 , proxy clip feature was available and working fine.
After update to 15.12.2 via apt-get update, the "proxy clip" entry in any menu
is shadowed, disabled.
It happens on both new projects and existing ones. On existing ones, the
previously generated proxies still work but can't be turned off.

I uninstalled and re-installed 15.08.1 from the "regular" repository, "proxy
clip" is back again and working.



Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a new project
2. Add some footage
3. Try to activate the proxy clip feature on this footage

Actual Results:  
The "proxy clip" feature is disabled, the entry menu is not clickable (grey)

Expected Results:  
The entry menu should be working
