[kde] [Bug 454028] application launcher (cascading) broken
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=454028 David Chmelik changed: What|Removed |Added Resolution|INTENTIONAL |--- Ever confirmed|0 |1 Status|RESOLVED|REOPENED --- Comment #11 from David Chmelik --- There was another option (shown in attachment) since Windows 9n (95, 98) & ME and a while after. I recall the shown menu style being an option for the start menu (so should be one for kicker, maybe kickoff, etc.) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=454028 Nate Graham changed: What|Removed |Added Resolution|WAITINGFORINFO |INTENTIONAL Status|NEEDSINFO |RESOLVED --- Comment #9 from Nate Graham --- Got it, thanks. This is the intentional design. "Cascading" means that it's capable of opening sub-menus, not that each sub-menu extends horizontally rather than scrolling if its contents are taller than the screen height. So what you're seeing is the way it was designed. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[kde] [Bug 454028] application launcher (cascading) broken
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=454028 --- Comment #8 from David Chmelik --- You can see the menu is scrolled down past the end of everything starting with 'a' to standard preinstalled KDE stuff, but this style menu used to open another box to the right, or continue indefinitely, until your list was done, instead of forcing scroll (slower.) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

Again, I reported this when I was using KDE and want to switch back, and still use KDE software (family PC is fast enough for KDE, and I use KDE programs, just not KDE itself.) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[kde] [Bug 454028] application launcher (cascading) broken
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=454028 --- Comment #5 from Nate Graham --- I can't test it because I'm unsure what thing you're specifically talking about: Kicker? Kickoff? Old Kickoff? A 3rd-party launcher menu? Hence my request for a screenshot so I can know what it is. Spectacle has a timer function that lets you schedule a screenshot several seconds in the future. You can use those seconds to open the menu in question. Or you can take a picture with your phone. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=454028 --- Comment #2 from David Chmelik --- X11. I guess I could use to screenshot, but that version doesn't respect the choice to use the active window, rather screenshotting all monitors, so I'd have a lot of editing to do, and I'm using XFCE desktop environment now (much faster)... maybe I'll do it later. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
