[valgrind] [Bug 392855] valgrind reports 1 additional allocation and 1024 additional bytes allocated (again...)
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=392855 Tom Hughes changed: What|Removed |Added Resolution|--- |INVALID CC||t...@compton.nu Status|UNCONFIRMED |RESOLVED --- Comment #1 from Tom Hughes --- We just report what happens so I doubt this is a valgrind bug, especially if you say it changed without the version of valgrind changing? Equally it can't really be a glibc bug, unless the malloc has become a macro that wraps the real function call, as we intercept the function call. Most likely the compiler has decided to round up the allocation or something, but I think the compiled is the most likely place to look. Really given how small the program is I would just look at the generated assembly to see what is going on. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[krita] [Bug 392508] pop-up pallete color picker bug
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=392508 --- Comment #6 from Eric --- Also, I had that bug in Krita 3.3.3 too. Is it still supported? Should I report that bug specially for Krita 3? I see it's a little quiet here. I don't know if it's helpful but if I remember correctly when I launch Krita for the first time (without preferences) that bug does not occur. Sometimes, after some minutes i can enable desktop effects using Alt+Shift+F12, still kwin always report unknow gl vendor/version etc in the console. I tried to build myself kwin to add support for it without succes. For some reason the gl calls (proxied from the libepoxy) return null strings and even trying to force intialization of those variable manually in code does not help. Is there any chance to see kwin / gl working correctly on a mac with non free drivers ? (I can't use nouveau as it regulary freeze desktop). I cannot manage to communicate personally with Krita user who doesn't have time to read release announcements through bugzilla, reddit, the forum or twitter what I already clearly wrote down in the announcement. Committed on 08/04/2018 at 10:06. Pushed by arichardson into branch 'master'. KDEPlatformFileDialog: Fix initial directory selection for remote files Summary: Previously KDEPlatformFileDialogHelper::selectFile() would change options()->initialDirectory() unconditionally even if it was already set by the QFileDialog code. Since Qt 5.7.1 it is no longer necessary to derive initialDirectory from the selectFile() call. In fact it is actuall harmful since it will now override the correct initial directory that was set by Qt. Without this patch I got the following debug output: ``` KDEPlatformFileDialogHelper::setDirectory QUrl("sftp://server/home/alr48/cheri/build_sdk.sh";) KDEPlatformFileDialogHelper::setDirectory QUrl("sftp://server/home/alr48/cheri/build_sdk.sh";) KDEPlatformFileDialogHelper::selectFile QUrl("file:///home/alex/build_sdk.sh") KDEPlatformFileDialogHelper::setDirectory QUrl("file:///home/alex/) ``` The final setDirectory() call is actually a call to `setDirectory(options->initialDirectory())` which was set in `selectFile()`. We now depend on Qt 5.9 so we can remove this code without a check for version >= 5.7.1. Test Plan: Remote directory is now opened correctly (tested with Qt 5.10.0) Reviewers: #plasma, elvisangelaccio Reviewed By: elvisangelaccio Subscribers: ngraham, krzyc, anthonyfieroni, elvisangelaccio, graesslin, plasma-devel Tags: #plasma Differential Revision: https://phabricator.kde.org/D4193 M +0-5src/platformtheme/kdeplatformfiledialoghelper.cpp https://commits.kde.org/plasma-integration/bfd41a95530f90ee8d44cbcfd1fa8c62978334a2 -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

Because: 1) It's how we expect things to work -- we consider it one "move" after we stop and release mouse button. And take it for granted that the program will recognize that as "one move" so that we can easily Undo/Redo. 2) It's difficult for new users to teach themselves about ESC key's function in move tool like this. It's inconsistent with all other places in Krita. It's confusing that after using Move tool for one time we cannot undo anymore. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=392875 Bug ID: 392875 Summary: Marble Flatpak package installs multiple badly named menu entries Product: marble Version: unspecified Platform: Flatpak OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: marble-b...@kde.org Reporter: khanson...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- When installing from the "kdeapps" Flatpak repository, I get two menu entries: - Marble - (Nightly) KDE Marble After some digging, which led me to the Git source, it turns out that "Marble" is the binary "marble-qt", while "(Nightly) KDE Marble" is "marble" (the KDE libs version, presumably). This naming scheme is completely unobvious. Furthermore, there is nothing obvious in the apps that identifies them this way. Can this be fixed? Possibly related: does the Qt version need to be installed at all? The package requires the KDE platform anyway. If the Qt version is not needed, then the simplest way to clear things up is to remove it completely. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[ark] [Bug 391361] [Request] Ark with Dolphin integration does not display compression progress dialog
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=391361 Edmund Kasprzak changed: What|Removed |Added CC||edk...@gmail.com --- Comment #4 from Edmund Kasprzak --- Hi Zakhar, This is not Ark-specific functionality. KDE Plasma Apps don't have their own progress bars, all of them use KDE Frameworks libraries to provide the same, consistent way of displaying notifications and progress bar. That's why Elvis recommended in #391697 to raise a feature request for frameworks-kio product, not Ark as Ark doesn't handle that. Fact is that this is the KDE way of displaying progress bar, using notifications area instead of it's own window. So, raising a feature request there (frameworks-kio) is actually asking for changing default behavior for all KDE apps and I don't think it will happen as not using own window is an intended behavior. Personally, I'm a bigger fan of current implementation - notifications area + working progress bar in task manager area (when run from dolphin). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

Committed on 08/04/2018 at 14:05. Pushed by arichardson into branch 'Plasma/5.12'. Test Plan: Remote directory is now opened correctly (tested with Qt 5.10.0) Reviewers: #plasma, elvisangelaccio Reviewed By: elvisangelaccio Subscribers: ngraham, krzyc, anthonyfieroni, elvisangelaccio, graesslin, plasma-devel Tags: #plasma Differential Revision: https://phabricator.kde.org/D4193 M +0-5src/platformtheme/kdeplatformfiledialoghelper.cpp https://commits.kde.org/plasma-integration/cc064e81c6ed51f3b4422c2f2347e5f4e090e628 -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
