Bug ID: 394868
Summary: X11 Forwarding is Extremely Slow on KDE Neon 5.12
   Product: neon
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Neon Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: neon-b...@kde.org
  Reporter: kyle.a.tay...@gmail.com
CC: j...@jriddell.org, neon-b...@kde.org, sit...@kde.org
  Target Milestone: ---

I use X11 forwarding over SSH regularly from a local server to load
resource-heavy build-utilities like PyCharm and Google Chrome (e.g., with SSH
-Y user@host google-chrome) . The connection I use to connect to my local
server is peer-to-peer over Ethernet on a dedicated CAT5 cable. X11 forwarding
is lagged -- to the point of being unusable -- when using KDE (default install
of Neon 5.12).

On this same computer with Gnome Shell (default install of Ubuntu 18.04), this
network configuration works fine and the X11 forwarding doesn't have any
noticeable lag.

Wait! Sorry. It was my iptables filters. The list of things to block was
ridiculously long and it was slowing down SSH traffic.
