KF6 online sprint: March 27-28
Hello, Based on the results of the previously shared poll, the date for the KFrameworks 6 Sprint was selected! This online event will happen on March 27-28, between 10:00-18:00 CET. See details here: https://community.kde.org/Sprints/KF6/2021Virtual[1] . Please use this Wiki page to fill the time table slots with your topics. For now the slots are all 1 hour ones, but feel free to merge/divide as needed. There is a Matrix room for discussion here: https://matrix.to/#/#kf6:kde.org[2]. Hope to see you there! - Adam [1] https://community.kde.org/Sprints/KF6/2021Virtual [2] https://matrix.to/#/#kf6:kde.org
KDE Frameworks 6 - Virtual Sprint setup
Hello, I've been talking with David Faure about setting up a Sprint focused on KF6 work. Some of the topics would include: - Reviewing the KF6 board (https://phabricator.kde.org/project/board/310/[1]): -- Clean up -- Tagging Junior Jobs - Working out a structure/process for handling: -- "Stuck" tasks -- Unit test regressions - Decide the 5.15 minimum requirement bump timeline - Decide on a 6 branching strategy and timeline - Decide if/how ECM should support multiple Qt versions That's just an example list - the wiki[1] should include the up to date and detailed topics. The Sprint will use the KDE BBB instance - same tech that powered last years Akademy; I'll coordinate that with our sysadmins to have it available. As for the date and length, usually Virtual Sprints are a weekend thing. I'd love to hear from you if that sounds OK, and which weekend would be workable for you (how soon can we get this started) and your preferred availability hours. I'll set up a poll later to pinpoint the final timing. Thanks, - Adam [1] https://community.kde.org/Sprints/KF6/2021Virtual
Looking for trainer for Akademy 2020
Hello frameworks developers, During a recent poll for Akademy 2020 trainings, one of the popular topics voted on was "Using KDE Frameworks". I'm looking for someone who would be willing to conduct a training about the KDE frameworks. I'm fully aware that the topic is very broad, but I think it could be up to the trainer to pinpoint what exactly would be an interesting topic to have a session on. As a reminder, since Akademy is online only this time, the trainer would need to be ready to stream the training session. I will be able to help with equipment, software setup etc, so don't worry :) If you're interested, feel free to contact me directly, or continue the discussion here. - Adam
