Looks like the patch was never applied.
Can you change that patch so that it applies against KMail 1.11.0 and send the
result to reviewboard.kde.org (kdepim group)? That way, the patch will not get
lost.

[Bug 185544] closing a 2nd instance crashes kontact with SIGSEGV

2009-02-26 Thread cmf
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=185544

The bug occurs everytime after logging out of KDE without closing Kontact.
After the next login, a message window appears: "kontact is already running in
another window. start anyway?" After clicking on "no", kontact is not opened at
all. After clicking on "yes" two kontact windows appear. Closing either of them
leads to the described crash.

Regarding the backtrace: I'm not using the KDEmod packages right now and can
not easily provide a more detailed backtrace at the moment. If I find time
enough I can switch to these other packages, but maybe somebody else can
reproduce this bug and provide the backtrace?
Cheers

[Bug 86423] Ability To Reply To HTML Email With Same HTML Format As It Was Received

2009-02-26 Thread Jason Keirstead

> If you want to troll, go somewhere else.

I am not trolling, I am making a legitamate point. Everyone keeps harping on
and on about this bug, but the fact is, the current composer can not even
handle HTML properly enough to re-create the stuff attempting to be preserved
anyway! IE, 25% of the emails I receive have HTML tables in them. The current
composer can not create tables. 75% of the emails I receive have images in the
signature. The current composer can not insert inline images.

I know that the QTextEdit control *supports* tables and images, but the
composer, does not. So, maybe a hack can be found that would preserve the
formatting, but you would not be able to edit it to, for example, add your own
image. Without editing capacity, preserving the reply in a half-OK state is not
useful.

As such - this bug *depends* on getting a new composer in KMail. This is a
fact, it is indisputable.

> Also, Mailody's composer is _not_ based on KHTML/Webkit

I stand corrected. Sadly this is even more disappointing :( I had assumed as a
new/recent project it would be using a decent editing widget

Also, Mailody's composer is _not_ based on KHTML/Webkit, get your facts
straight.

[Bug 185596] New: kontact should show kmail embedded as other components

2009-02-26 Thread Ruchir Brahmbhatt
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=185596

Summary: kontact should show kmail embedded as other components
   Product: kontact
   Version: 1.4
  Platform: SuSE RPMs
OS/Version: unspecified
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: wishlist
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: ruchir.brahmbh...@ecosmob.com

Version: 1.4 (using KDE 4.2.0)
Installed from:SuSE RPMs

Kontact opens contacts, tasks, calendar, feeds, journal, etc. in same window
but opens kmail in separate window. This is bit inconvenient. Generally user
expects all PIM modules in single application window like it is in evolution.
It would be nice if kmail is shown embedded in kontact.

I'm getting this bug on Kubuntu Intrepid with KDE 4.2.0. I have an IMAP
account. Everytime KDE starts, it warns be about kontact being running. If I
click on continue, then two instances of Kontact open, if I close one of them,
both of them crash. If I click on exit, nothing happens but I have to start
kontact manually and then everything is ok.
It didn't happen with KDE 4.1
