[Bug 214944] New: vertical scroll bar handle invisible for message list with large number of messages

2009-11-17 Thread ZJ Laczik
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=214944

Summary: vertical scroll bar handle invisible for message list
with large number of messages
   Product: kmail
   Version: 1.12.2
  Platform: Mandriva RPMs
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: j...@laczik.org

Version: 1.12.2 (using KDE 4.3.2)
OS:Linux
Installed from:Mandriva RPMs

For folder lists, the vertical scroll bar handle size is inverse proportional
to the number of messages in the list, and so becomes invisible for message
lists with a large number of messages. There should be a minimum size set (e.g.
10px or a percentage of the the full height) for the scroll bar handle.

[Bug 215000] New: Searched mails could not be moved to folders

2009-11-17 Thread Harald Schugt
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=215000

Summary: Searched mails could not be moved to folders
   Product: kmail
   Version: 1.12.2
  Platform: openSUSE RPMs
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: sch...@gmx.de

Version: 1.12.2 (using KDE 4.3.1)
OS:Linux
Installed from:openSUSE RPMs

Using the search function usually offers a list of mails that match the
search-phrase.
I tried to mark the list of all search results and tried to move them with
drag and drop to an kmail folder.
Instead of moving all marked mails to the folder, just the one mail I picked
with the mouse button is moved to the folder.

[Bug 215007] New: all my contacts blown up :@

2009-11-17 Thread LtWorf
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=215007

Summary: all my contacts blown up :@
   Product: kaddressbook
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: unspecified
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: tipos...@tiscali.it
CC: to...@kde.org

Version: 4.3 (using 4.3.2 (KDE 4.3.2), Debian packages)
Compiler: cc
OS:Linux (i686) release 2.6.31odino

Kaddress book deleted all my contacts. Last thing i did was delete the blank
contacts it creates time to time (i am afraid i didn't fill a bugreport for
that). And i don't remember if i killed kontact with kill (since sometimes it
closes the window but doesn't terminate and doesn't start again).

I am afraid i can't offer much more details but it is quite annoying (and i
would be much more mad if i didn't have a recent backup).

[Bug 213456] new items in ignored threads not ignored

--- Comment #2 from Tom Chiverton bugs kde org falkensweb com 2009-11-17

Just seen it where I was viewing a folder with ignored threads, new mail
arrived in those threads, and was not marked as ignored (instead it was
appended as new mail to the thread).
So you don't even have to close/wait/open Kontact to trigger this.

For me the %SIGNATURE% doesn't work either. It's at the bottom (cursor on top)
or the signature is on top, the cursor between the sig and the quoted text.
Using Kontact 4.3.2, KMail 1.12.2.

If you need more information, please let me know :)

I have two email accounts hosted by gmail and have KMail set to be always shown
in the system tray. KMail is also set to check email when started. Whenever I
login KDE loads my previous session, so KMail is opened. Every time I login
KMail gives two error dialogs. Both have the title Error - KMail, and say
Unknown host pop.gmail.com. If I close the dialogs and open KMail I can check
my email without any problem. Closing KMail and opening it again works fine
too.

[Bug 215027] New: try F5 to refresh my mail, and checked forever (about 5 minutes) and nothing happened. The botton part

2009-11-17 Thread cne007
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=215027

Summary: try F5 to refresh my mail, and checked forever (about
5 minutes) and nothing happened. The botton part
   Product: kontact
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Unlisted Binaries
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: crash
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: cne...@hotmail.com

Application that crashed: kontact
Version of the application: 4.3.1
KDE Version: 4.3.2 (KDE 4.3.2)
Qt Version: 4.5.3
Operating System: Linux 2.6.30-2-amd64 x86_64
Distribution: Debian GNU/Linux testing (squeeze)

What I was doing when the application crashed:
kontact closed itself and produced the crash report.
Not the first time that happened, I had this experience before.
The bottom panel, where the message is displayed does not display the message
but the welcome page to kontact (not sure how you name it).
It says at the left bottom, checking for new messages, and say like that
forever. Either Kontact will krash, or I close the app, when I noticed it
happens.

It happens either when I hit F5, click the check mail icon or It does happen by
itself.
One common point I noticed, it mostly happens when I return back to kmail from
another application, in that case (Firefox), but it seems to be application
agnostic.
When I restart Kontact, it works fine again.

[Bug 213151] distribution lists are not always saved

2009-11-17 Thread Anders Lund
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=213151

--- Comment #5 from Anders Lund anders alweb dk 2009-11-17 23:33:59 ---
Having switched to akonadi resources, my experiences are as follows:

After switching, I had 2 of every resource. I removed the duplicates, that
seemed to work. Using akonadi means slow startup. I still gets duplicated
entries for my distribution lists (which was lost in the migration process, so
I had to recreate them). Is it because I have two addressbook resources? (Hm, I
could try adding one more, and see if I get tripled distlists :p). Initially, I
could not create distlists using akonadi resources. I was asked to select a
destination folder from an empty list. After setting a default resource for
distlists, i can create them, and in case contact does not crash during
shutdown they might get saved.

same problem today for me in 1.12.2 in kde 4.3.1 from suse11.2

I forwarded a message.

from then on forwarding messages via ctrl+shift+f (forwarded text inline) or
replying were empty (just the subjects (and replying the To-address)) were set
OK) and in the defaults I found (after reading that bug (or its duplicate) the
%BLANK, which hadn't been there before obviously.

BTW:
The shortcuts
f
F (means ctrl+f
r
a
A (means ctrl+a)
for forwarding and replying I cannot configure but I would like to!
(There is only R (ctrl+r) as replying without quoting.)

Is there already a report for this issue?

[Bug 215048] New: links are not opened from original address

Installed from:openSUSE RPMs

If i click to a link in an email in kmail, kmail downloads something and then
there is opened a new tab in firefox, but in the address-field there appears
something like
file:///var/tmp/kdecache-user/krun/...

Of course often I'm not able to see the wished site and if yes - links in it
don't work.

kmail shouldn't at all download this stuff but open the link-address in the
browser!

I don't want to always must copy and paste the links to the browser.

[Bug 215063] New: Problem displaying contacts imported from .vcf files

2009-11-17 Thread Angelos Skembris
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=215063

Summary: Problem displaying contacts imported from .vcf files
   Product: kaddressbook
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: unspecified
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: a.skemb...@teemail.gr
CC: to...@kde.org

Version: 4.3 (using 4.3.1 (KDE 4.3.1) release 6, openSUSE 11.2)
Compiler: gcc
OS:Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.31.5-0.1-desktop

I tried to import my contacts from my mobile phone. The phone sent the whole
addressbook via Bluetooth to the PC as a single .vcf file. When I import it
into KAddressbook, the 'Contacts' panel (on the left hand side of the program
window, immediately below the search bar) does not display the contact names.
The lines with the names can be selected, but the font color appears to be the
same as the background color. I know the data has been imported, because if I
select a line, the contact information (i.e. its details) is shown in the right
hand side (in visible text). I can also search and edit the contacts just fine,
it's just the display panel with the names that seems to have the problem.
Also, the email addresses of the contacts (those that have one) are displayed
normally - only the contact names are invisible.

I have tried changing the background picture and the display options from VIEW
- Modify view, with no result. Neither the background picture is displayed,
nor the alternate lines (if ticked). I tried changing the color theme, but the
problem persists. Also, if I manually create a new contact, the name is
displayed normally (I can read it the same as the rest of the visible text).
Only the imported contacts seem to suffer from this. Importing each contact
from a single file makes no difference, the name is still unreadable.
