[Bug 260345] New: Akonadi ical resource crashes at startup

2010-12-17 Thread Simon Raffeiner
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=260345

Summary: Akonadi ical resource crashes at startup
   Product: Akonadi
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Ubuntu Packages
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: crash
  Priority: NOR
 Component: ICal file resource
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: sturmf...@lieberbiber.de

Application: akonadi_ical_resource (0.1)
KDE Platform Version: 4.5.85 (4.6 Beta2)
Qt Version: 4.7.1
Operating System: Linux 2.6.37-9-generic i686
Distribution: Ubuntu natty (development branch)

-- Information about the crash:
- What I was doing when the application crashed:

I have two ical files configured, one local and one fetched via HTTP
(read-only). Since updating to KDE 4.6 Beta I get three crash reports on every
startup, and the data from those two files is not available in Kontact. An
additional vCard resource for contacts works.

You may use http://hogsmeade.lieberbiber.de/~sturmflut/tv.vcal as an example,
it contains TV show dates and is updated three times a day. The other ical file
is private.

The crash can be reproduced every time.

[Bug 260354] New: trust flag per address to allow displaying of HTML emails

2010-12-17 Thread Martin Koller
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=260354

Summary: trust flag per address to allow displaying of HTML
emails
   Product: kaddressbook
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: openSUSE RPMs
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
  Severity: wishlist
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: kol...@aon.at
CC: to...@kde.org

Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.5.4)
OS:Linux

Allow to define a trust flag per address so that all emails from this contact
will be immediately displayed correctly when received as HTML.

Currently an HTML-only email is only displayed correctly when I explicitely
trust this user inside kmail by clicking on a special link displayed in the
mail viewer, or when I set the complete folder to prefer HTML mails.

In fact, I trust a specific user, and this should be possible to define
globally in the addressbook, because when I rearrange my mails (e.g. I move the
mail from one folder to a different one), then I again have the display problem
and only the option to allow HTML for the complete folder or the cumbersome way
to always click on the link inside the mail viewer.

Reproducible: Didn't try

Als gelesen markieren (German version of Mark email read) but the mail
already is read. Clicking on this marks the email unread.

When the 4 buttons are visible click on the icon to go back to email list view
without using any of the 4 buttons. When in list view the 4 buttons are still
visible.

[Bug 260265] Cannot retrieve my emails (via POP3) from M$ Exchange Server

2010-12-17 Thread Nassos Kourentas
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=260265

--- Comment #1 from Nassos Kourentas nassos kourentas com 2010-12-17
15:26:47 ---
After further investigation and googling around, I found a _workaround_ of the
reported issue:

It appears that a modification concerning the authentication mechanism (that is
related with KWallet) resulted to the problem: Once I deleted the respective
Akonadi resource and recreated it (using the exact values and credentials), the
problem seized to exist.

But, as far as I am concerned, such a requirement (to delete and recreate the
respective POP3 Akonadi resource) to rectify the issue, should _not_ be an
acceptable solution...

The following comment might be out of topic, but it's worth reporting:
Furthermore, I would like to mention the fact that, in the event of connecting
with a server whose certificate is not valid/safe (The Akonadi resourse
generates a warning that the server failed the authenticity check), leads to
the user taking the responsibility upon herself whether to accept the
certificate (either for the current session, or forever), or decline it
altogether...
If the user chooses to accept the provided certificate _forever_, the akonadi
resource will periodically (each and every time it is invoked that is) keep on
complaining about the very same certificate issue, thus, _ignoring_ the
specific user request for the system to accept the (less safe) certificate!

Not quite sure where to put this, but using a different color to mark marked
text depending on the background color is not a kmail issue.

(The issue is that the default background color of kmails header field is close
to that if the default marked text color however they are different shades of
blue so it is possible to see what is marked, yet hard)

kontact (4.6 beta2) on KDE Platform 4.5.86 (4.6 = 20101210) release 9 using
Qt 4.7.1

I got a dialog about conflicting messages, there I selescted keep both, then
the message was duplicated and this dialog kept appearing. There I always
clicked keep right, but the dialog with exactly the same diff kept appearing,
so I exited Kontact. When I then tried to start it again everytime KMail is
started I get this crash. I tried synching the collection with akonadiconsole,
moving all messages from my inbox to a backup folder (since it was a message in
my inbox causing this dialog to appear), deleting kmail2rc (this seemed to work
for one start, but now the error is back).
I really don't know what to do, this is a really big issue for me since I now
can't read my e-mails anymore. I can put up with the number of messages not
being shown in the tray icon or similar small issues, but this problem is
almost forcing me to switch to kmail 1.

I confirm this behaviour : each time you change the viewed folder, its content
is refreshed slowly. It seems that KMail requests Akonadi for mail folder
content at each time.

[Bug 254991] can't undo file association

2010-12-17 Thread Jaime Torres
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=254991

--- Comment #1 from Jaime Torres jtamate gmail com 2010-12-17 18:34:54 ---
[Comment from a bug triager]
You were close... It is, in fact, in two places:
* the systemsettings, in the file associations.
You need to remember the file extension or the mime-type, search for it, and,
remove the extension and/or kwrite from the programs that handle that
mime-type. (or lower its priority)

* The do not ask again Is in the file
kmailrc[2]
In the section

[Notification Messages]
askSave_image/jpeg=2(where jpeg is the mime type of the attached file)
(remove that line, and probably restart kmail)

Please, close this bug if this solved your problem.

[Bug 260414] New: [regression] dragging a mail on a minimized folder structure wont open it

2010-12-17 Thread m.wege
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=260414

Summary: [regression] dragging a mail on a minimized folder
structure wont open it
   Product: kmail2
   Version: 2.0.89
  Platform: Ubuntu Packages
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: message list
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: m.w...@web.de

Version: 2.0.89 (using KDE 4.5.85)
OS:Linux

When I pull a mail from the message list towards folder list and want to put
that mail into a folder which is hidden because it is minimized, hovering over
the parent folder wont open that folder structure. That was the case in Kmail1
and it would be nice if that behaviour would be restored.

Reproducible: Always

[Bug 260570] New: [regression] using the quick filter in the folder list wont expand minimised folder structures

  Platform: Ubuntu Packages
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED

ReportedBy: m.w...@web.de

Version: 2.0.89 (using KDE 4.5.85)
OS:Linux

Using the quick filter in the folder list wont expand minimised folder
structures when one folder matching is in there. As far as I remember that was
the case in Kmail1 and it is also the case in the folder selector. Would be
nice, if this could be fixed.

Reproducible: Always

What in Kmail1 was named local folder (or something similar) is now Kmail
folders. Do not know if there is a special rationale behind this. It would be
nice, if either Local Folders would be restored (with localisation, it does
not seem to be localised until now) or even better, that one could choose the
name.

[Bug 139293] Subfolders not inheriting parent identity setting

--- Comment #2 from George Metaxas gmetal31 gmail com 2010-12-17 21:43:58 ---
I do not think that the default identity is assigned to the subfolder (at least
not anymore). I think that this bug is (at least with the trunk version) a
matter of changing the wording of the Use default identity checkbox. I tried
the following:
- Two identities (one the default)
- Two DIMAP accounts, each assigned a different identity.
I then added a subfolder to a folder of each of the accounts and proceeded to
check the folder properties. Indeed, in the folder properties dialog, the Use
default identity checkbox was checked in both cases. However, in the Sender
identity combo, the displayed identity was different. After investigating the
code which controls this dialog, it appears that the Sender identity combo box,
takes its value (irrespective of whether it is grayed out or not) from the
identity assigned to the subfolder. In conclusion, I think that renaming the
Use default identity checkbox to something like: Use Account Identity will
be sufficient.

[Bug 260588] New: filter rules window does not appear in panel

2010-12-17 Thread m.wege
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=260588

Summary: filter rules window does not appear in panel
   Product: kmail2
   Version: 2.0.89
  Platform: Ubuntu Packages
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: filtering
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: m.w...@web.de

Version: 2.0.89 (using KDE 4.5.85)
OS:Linux

The filter rules window does not appear in the panel. However it does appear in
the task switcher. This is irritating and causes usability problems. E.g I have
edited filter rules, not closed, but minimised the filter window. Now I can not
get it back through the panel. It also does not reappear when I use
settings-configure filters.

Reproducible: Always

OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.37-7-generic-pae
Compiler: cc

Sometimes automatic and manual mail checking stops working. This always happens
after many hours. Then there is no automatic mail checking anymore and manual
mail checking. I am not sure, but this may only happen when the clock turns
after midnight

Two problems:

If the opportunity to auto-complete arises, e.g., after typing first two or
three letters of often used email address, then picking it freezes the to
field, without any more characters entered.

Only deletion unfreezes field.

Second problem, replying can leave to field empty
