[Akonadi] [Bug 319398] New: IMAP resource fetches messages from older to newer, demanding a lot of time to usable Kmail
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=319398 Bug ID: 319398 Summary: IMAP resource fetches messages from older to newer, demanding a lot of time to usable Kmail Classification: Unclassified Product: Akonadi Version: 4.10 Platform: Archlinux Packages OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: wishlist Priority: NOR Component: IMAP resource Assignee: er...@kde.org Reporter: cochisece...@gmail.com CC: kdepim-bugs@kde.org, vkra...@kde.org I have some years old Gmail accounts with GBs of messages. When I configure in Kmail, the fetch order is from older to newer, them I have to wait a long time before to get my last messages. I don't tested the behavior with other mail resources, like POP3. [knode] [Bug 319394] New: KNode does not validate server addresses at account creation
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=319394 Bug ID: 319394 Summary: KNode does not validate server addresses at account creation Classification: Unclassified Product: knode Version: 4.10.x Platform: Ubuntu Packages OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org Reporter: samj...@gmail.com Hello. I am using Kubuntu Raring with latest updates i.e. KDE 4.10.2. I created a newsgroup as follows: Settings > Configure KNotes > Accounts > NewsGroup Servers > Add > Name: DigitalMars Server: news://news.digitalmars.com/ Click OK. Then select the new group, click Subscribe > Fetch List. I get an error saying: Malformed URL nntp://:119?desc=true. If I go back to the account properties and change the server address to: news.digitalmars.com then it works. Even a slash at the end of the server name will cause this problem. If there is only a particular format of server address that is recognized, then the Server Field textbox should validate that. At least upon pressing OK the dialog box should validate the server address. And I don't get why it is a problem to include news:// at the beginning or a slash at the end -- URLs copy-pasted from the net can have these. The program can and should easily test for these and remove these automatically without reporting an error. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs

[kmail2] [Bug 319375] New: Automatic language selection of dictionary depending on recipients
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=319375 Bug ID: 319375 Summary: Automatic language selection of dictionary depending on recipients Classification: Unclassified Product: kmail2 Version: unspecified Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: wishlist Priority: NOR Component: composer Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org Reporter: maarten.beze...@gmail.com I would like to see a new feature that automatically selects the correct dictionary language depending on the recipient(s) of the email. I know that it is possible to set a default language for each identity, but that is not sufficient when one identity is used to send emails in multiple languages. I think the language is more dependent on the email recipients instead. The (default) language could be depending on the address (country) details of the recipient/contact (if available). Remembering the last used language per contact could also be a solution I suppose. I would love to see it in Kmail too. Blocking adds and tracking stuff while still being able to have a look at HTML-mails sounds like a good idea. Since adblock is already part of KDE used in Konqueror and Rekonq, would it be possile just to actived and configure it in Kmail too? I am not sure if it is already used in Kmail since I guess Kmail uses either webkit oder KHTML to display HTML-mails. If so, some configuration in Kmail would make sense which for example would allow to temporally deactivate it on per site/sender basis. [Akonadi] [Bug 306444] kcalendar-4.8.5 fails to update a calendar resource (ics) when it is changed
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=306444 --- Comment #14 from Lasse Liehu --- Judging from Christian's comment #12, the Finnish message is: Tiedosto ”%1” muuttui levyllä. Varotoimenpiteenä varmuuskopio sen aiemmasta sisällöstä luotiin kohteeseen ”%2”. And the English one is then: The file '%1' was changed on disk. As a precaution, a backup of its previous contents has been created at '%2'. from kdepim-runtime/resources/shared/singlefireresourcebase.cpp (line 230 in master) "Trying to write to a read-only file: '%1'." comes from kdepim-runtime/resources/shared/singlefileresource.h (line 168 in master).
