[kaddressbook] [Bug 332218] New: kaddressbook crashes when selecting attached contact (QR code problem)

2014-03-16 Thread Martin Koller
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=332218

Bug ID: 332218
Summary: kaddressbook crashes when selecting attached contact
(QR code problem)
Classification: Unclassified
   Product: kaddressbook
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Compiled Sources
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Keywords: drkonqi
  Severity: crash
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: kol...@aon.at
CC: to...@kde.org

Application: kaddressbook (4.13 beta2)
KDE Platform Version: 4.12.90 (Compiled from sources)
Qt Version: 4.8.5
Operating System: Linux 3.11.10-7-desktop x86_64
Distribution: openSUSE 13.1 (Bottle) (x86_64)

-- Information about the crash:
- What I was doing when the application crashed:

I have created a new test contact on my owncloud server containing just greek
letters.
kaddressbook fetches it via the DAV resource and shows the contact in the list.
However when I select it in the list so that I can see its details,
kaddressbook always crashes. It seems to be related to the generation of the QR
code.

I attach the vcf file.

The crash can be reproduced every time.

[kmail2] [Bug 332225] New: KMail follows META REFRESH in HTML mail without asking, creating potential security problems

2014-03-16 Thread Mike Schneider
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=332225

Bug ID: 332225
Summary: KMail follows META REFRESH in HTML mail without
asking, creating potential security problems
Classification: Unclassified
   Product: kmail2
   Version: 4.11.5
  Platform: openSUSE RPMs
   URL: https://emailprivacytester.com
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: mike2.schnei...@gmail.com

KMail asks for confirmation before displaying HTML formatted mail. It also asks
for confirmation before loading external resources, but it does not aks before
folowing a META REFRESH embedde din the HMTL mail, thereby creating a potential
security problem as following a meta-refresh leads as much information as
loading an external resource.

Suggestewd behaviour: when displaying HTML formatted mails, KMail should ask
before following meta-refresh in the same was it asks before loading external
images.

For demonstration of the issue, see https://emailprivacytester.com

Reproducible: Always

[kmail2] [Bug 332228] New: When displaying HTML mails, KMail loads external references before asking the user for permission

2014-03-16 Thread Mike Schneider
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=332228

Bug ID: 332228
Summary: When displaying HTML mails, KMail loads external
references before asking the user for permission
Classification: Unclassified
   Product: kmail2
   Version: 4.11.5
  Platform: openSUSE RPMs
   URL: https://emailprivacytester.com
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: mike2.schnei...@gmail.com

With HTML rendering disabled, KMail asks for permission before rendering a HTML
message. It also asks for permission for loading external references. This
creates the impression that no external references are loaded before having
received permission from the user.

However, as a check with https://emailprivacytester.com reveals, KMail loads at
least some external references (, object tags, iframes, CSS) before asking for
permission. This compromises the privacy of the user.

Expected behaviour: Kmail should not load any external references before given
permission to do so by the user.

Reproducible: Always

Out of statistics, is anybody encountering this with 4.11 or later?

Since this bug exists for over 2 years now, and apperantly no one dig into the
code or the related processes to solve this issue. At least it's not documented
here.

I'm pretty sure it won't vanish by itself :-)

Thanks! But did you mean search or sort? Both would be very useful, but are not
the same.

[kmail] [Bug 211634] Cursor position should be before the signature when 'Insert signature above quoted text' option is set

2014-03-16 Thread Craig
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=211634

--- Comment #10 from Craig craig.finne...@gmail.com ---
Hi Chris,
Thank you for replying, yes it is - I'm on Arch running the latest 4.12.x and
have insert signature auto, insert Sig above quoted text both enabled and am
not using templates via previous post, when clicking reply the cursor is always
under the signature and I have to manually click the top of the email to start
typing. This is also the same issue with many members of my company who I moved
over to Contact/KMail. Any chance for a fix in an upcoming 4.13.x release?
Thanks,

Craig
