[Kernel-packages] [Bug 1505067] Re: [HP Spectre x360 - 13-4001nf] Audio broken, broadwell-U audio controller
madbiologist: I'm currently running 4.4.0-38-generic and while sound is working, it is not as loud an clear as in Windows, on the same device (I dual boot). Do you think that would be fixed with kernel 4.9 ? I'm not sure to understand this "two speaker outputs" story. Does that mean that the laptop has two physical sets of speakers but only one is activated on current kernel ? Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I updated the BIOS to 1.11. I still reproduce the problem: system completely frozen after resume. 1) The output of the command: N78 Ver. 01.11 05/09/2016 2) No improvement with this BIOS. 3) Setting the bug to confirmed. Suspend/resume worked flawlessly with linux image 4.4.0-15, and after standard upgrade yesterday (5/04/2016) which installed image 4.4.0-16, the system freezes when attempting a suspend. I get no response from the system (nor keyboard, nor screen, nor touchpad), but it gets very hot, so that it must be running something. Booting with 4.4.0-15 makes the suspend to work perfectly.
