I will not be able to test this with the upstream kernels because this bug occurs during an installation using an iso image. So the kernel will have to be in the iso image for me to to further test this. Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest v3.18 kernel[0].
