[Koha] Koha North America User's Group - Invitation for 2015 Meeting Host Proposals - FINAL CALL

2014-11-07 Thread BRANNON, CHRISTOPHER
Greetings all,

This is our final call for proposals from agencies and libraries from mid to
east side of the United States to host the 2nd annual Koha North America User's
Group meeting! We intend to hold the meeting in August of 2015. The meeting
will be comprised of 2 days for sessions and presentations, and 2 days for
hackfest. Please submit your proposals at
https://onedrive.live.com/redir?page=survey&resid=48E74EDCAC4A9D74!1950&authkey=!ACbBhVaZDvziUlI&ithint=file%2cxlsx.
Information in your proposal should include (but does not need to be limited
to) the following information:

1. The location and what kind of conference facility would be offered.
Confirm that the site would have internet and other technology available to
enable presentations and general connectivity.

2. Dates when the meeting could occur at the proposed location.

3. Information about transportation -- the closest airports and train stations
and how one could get from these places to the meeting site.

4. Lodging in the area.

5. Anything else we would need to know about the location and what makes it a
great choice for this meeting.

Please submit your proposals by Monday, November 10, 2014. If we receive
multiple proposals we will set up a method for potential attendees to vote on
the preferred meeting location.

Re: [Koha] Problem with Apache, Wordpress & Koha

2014-11-07 Thread Viktor.Sarge
Just a quick thought - have you checked what kind of traffic you have to the
server? If some overly enthusiastic webcrawler decided to try and index your
Koha opac that might block you and require you to filter out that traffic in
the firewall. So yes it could be malware of course but not necessarily
something that lives on your server but rather something that in practice
becomes an denial of service attack.

I'll let others think about more Koha-based theories.

(You could of course increase the cap for the number of simultaneous users, but
I have a distinct feeling that will accomplish exactly nothing)

Kind regards/Viktor

Re: [Koha] Problem with Apache, Wordpress & Koha

2014-11-07 Thread Chris Cormack
Hi Lenora

I'd disable WordPress in your apache config, and then you'll narrow it down a
bit.

The next thing I'd try before you start apache, log in to mysql as the mysql
root user. Then you can start apache and then run (in mysql) show processlist.
That will lost all the queries running. From that you should be able to spot
what's causing it

You can use the memdump tool (which is also known as memcdump on some
platforms such as Debian, where it can be installed using "sudo
apt-get install libmemcached-tools") from the libmemcached
command-line utilities and see if there are any keys from Koha in.

Here's an example run on my development system:
