Re: [libreoffice-l10n] What does mean "Search Formatted Display String"
To me that line means - to search for formatted displays which I would assume would include programs, full & partial; although the 'string' inclusion, I assume means only partial. If it has to do with cells, then I would assume it means something else - as ??? Sounds as if the latter, therefore I would suggest a re-writing of the wording to say what it means. Well, I still do all my accounting off-line ;-) From: Adolfo Jayme Barrientos <f...@libreoffice.org> Date: Sun, Nov 15, 2015 at 8:26 PM Subject: Re: [libreoffice-l10n] What does mean "Search Formatted Display String" To: Mihkel Tõnnov <mihh...@gmail.com> Cc: Jean-Baptiste Faure <jbfa...@libreoffice.org>, libreoffice-l10n < l10n@global.libreoffice.org> 2015-11-15 12:08 GMT-06:00 Mihkel Tõnnov <mihh...@gmail.com>: > I was wondering about its meaning as well, when I first saw the string. > Perhaps the wording could be improved so it would be clearer -- something > like "Match cell format"? Re: [libreoffice-l10n] What does mean "Search Formatted Display String"
Apologies, all, but shouldn't we "use the source" at this juncture? All this sounds like guessing, and the likely outcome would be another wild-guess translation (well, translationS) -- in the spirit of MSword localisations, anyway. :) -Yury PS I don't have the blob in question on hand at the moment. [libreoffice-l10n] What does mean "Search Formatted Display String"
Hi, The string "Search Formatted Display String" is not clear for me. This string must be translated two times: in tbunosearchcontrollers.src RID_SVXSTR_FINDBAR_SEARCHFORMATTED string.text Comment: AqBA9 libo_ui/svx/source/tbxctrls.po Unit #100861092 and as "Search formatted display string" in findreplacedialog.ui searchformatted label string.text Comment: ihU4u libo_ui/svx/uiconfig/ui.po Unit #100861184 This second string is in the Find & Replace dialog for Calc and does not have an extended tooltip nor explanation in the help page. I do not see any difference if checked or or not. Best regards. JBF -- Seuls des formats ouverts peuvent assurer la pérennité de vos documents.
