Is this the same Belgian jeweler who has come to IOLI convention a few times? Gorgeous fillagree work. The lacemaker on the website looks familiar. Robin P. [lace] 2015 IOLI convention class list
Good news everyone! The classes for the 2015 IOLI convention are now posted on the IOLI website http://www.internationalorganizationoflace.org/ . The full information for the convention will be coming later. But it is fun to have an early idea for what classes are available. I know what will be going on my registration form! I think we have a wonderful range of techniques from which to choose! Please keep in mind that our schedule will be shifted one day from tthe traditional Sunday-Friday. Registration and the opening banquet will be on MONDAY July 27. Classes will be on Tues, Wed, Friday & Saturday. Mid-week tours and public day will on Thursday. The closing banquet will be Saturday August 1. Please be sure to make your travel arrangements accordingly! The members of the Doris Southard Lace Guild are looking forward to welcoming you all to "Lace on the Prairie" in Coralville, Iowa. Harvest time is well under way now and soon the fields will be blanked in snow. But next summer the corn will be once again green and tall in fields that were once long ago covered with tall prairie grass. And if you look carefully, you may also spot some Queen Anne's lace growing along the roadsides. RE: [lace] lace jewelry
That is beautiful. It appears to be Sterling Filigree (wires are twisted and rolled into a flat 'ribbon' before forming the individual sections) and a Gold Framework. A very delicate process, I wish I had one. Re: [lace] Retirement
Hi Noelene and fellow Arachnids, This lovelypoem is soo true. In retirement one seems to have less time for oneâs craft than ever. What happens I think is all the other people thinking;- âWe can ask her/him to do so and so as they are retired and have plenty of time on their hands.â As we are loath to say no, I want some time to do the things I enjoy we end up working harder than ever :-D. Power to your lace pillow and may it help us to say NO to things that can be done by others??? Happy lace making, Joepie in East Sussex, UK. From: Noelene Lafferty Retirement. They all promised me when retirement was due, I'd be doing so much with my lace. <â¦â¦â¦â¦â¦â¦â¦â¦â¦> As the days now fly by I seem to do LESS Just where did I find time in the past!
