Re: UK LabView user group?

2004-03-22 Thread Michael Aivaliotis
Why not start one on your own? I started a LabVIEW usergroup in my
area under the umbrella of LAVA (LabVIEW Advanced Virtual Architects).
I use the LAVA website to communicate with my members and setup a
mailing list to announce upcomming meetings. There are 4 LAVA
usergroups already up and running. For information about what the
operating guidelines of LAVA are, see here:

http://www.lavausergroup.org/charter/

You can also send an email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with more
questions.

There has been some interest from the UK to setup a LAVA group but
no-one has taken the initiative.

Thank You

Thanks to all for the above responses.

I'll have a look at both the forthcoming conferences and the various
NI web forums. Shall also check for any UK UGs with our local rep/s.

Meanwhile, I'd like to re-state that I'm interested in joining or
starting a UK LabView user group!!

Regards,
Matt.

UK LabView user group?

2004-03-21 Thread Matt Moose
Is there any active UK-based LabView user group that has regular
meetings anywhere? There are a few around the rest of the world, but I
can't see anything in the UK. I think it would be a good idea to get
one together, if one does not exist here.

Feedback welcome - please reply to newsgroup as email is disabled to

Thanks,
Matt

Hi Matt,

I would encourage you to contact your local National Instruments sales
representative in the UK. You can find contact information a
href=http://digital.ni.com/worldwide/uk.nsf/sb/Company+Information?OpenDocumentnode=169040_us;here/a.
If there is an active user group in your area, your local sales force
will probably know about it. And if there is not an active user
group, the local office can probably help you get one started.br
Also, you can meet fellow LabVIEW users at a

2004/a, which is a series of regional Virtual Instrumentation
Conferences sponsored by NI.
I hope this helps!

Not yet!

The LV Zone has a UG locator here

http://www.ni.com/devzone/lvzone/usergroupsearch.htm

But the UK is not listed YET!

THat same link will help you start your own if you are so inclined.

I have thought about starting one in the Pgh PA area but... Why do
that when I have the Dev-Exchange to keep me jumping.

I hope this help,

Ben
