Re: [LegacyUG] Software

2022-02-01 Thread P Hays
I have contacted the Legacy service about their not listing parents' names
of spouses.
This was their reply: I am sorry, this is still in testing. We have not
been given an ETA for a general release build. When it comes to a release
date, it all depends on testing and how it goes. If testing goes bad and
bugs are found, they have to be fixed and then retested. Because of this,
we are not able to predict when a build will be ready for general release.

It is a BIG deal when you are writing a descendant's report when siblings
marry siblings. I am working on a family right now that two siblings
married siblings and two more of their siblings married two other siblings.
Yes, this makes a difference. I am not whining. That being said, I do LOVE
legacy family tree but think if they would fix that one thing it shouldn't
be really hard.

Re: [LegacyUG] My previous build question

2021-08-12 Thread P Hays
I wish we all had known about this problem as I would have NEVER updated to
this build. I have loved Legacy even though I have had issues in the past.
At one time it was picking up incorrect information, but this is totally
irresponsible as they should have been checking for things like this.

So I was getting ready to make some books for a friend and have to wait for
a new build. Why didn't they check this before they made the new build?

Re: [LegacyUG] Question about DNA Tests

2017-08-09 Thread P Hays
You would want Y-DNA to track male lineage.
I used that for my dad. Unfortunately, after his death when I tried to get
the autosomal added, they had no more of the DNA left.
So don't just assume you can upgrade at any time.

Dear Wayne,
I think I have this correct.
After you get your listing, you will see the word "Options" to the left of
"Search." Click on Options, scroll down until you see print, click on
print, then preview, then print.
