Re: [LegacyUG] Switching computers

2012-06-19 Thread Sherry/Support
On our website www.LegacyFamilyTree.com, go to Help Center > Tips,
where you'll find some articles under "Moving Your Family File from
One Computer to Another"

You will have to download the final build of Legacy v6 from our
website. The link is in one of the articles above.

Don't forget to install Legacy per the instructions at
www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/helpWindows7andVista.asp

Re: [LegacyUG] Switching computers

2012-06-19 Thread Barbara Ford
Adding to my own question:
>From what I can research, I think I can do this:
Copy my Legacy folder from C: on my old computer to C: on my new
computer (the entire Legacy folder).
Go to the website and download version 6, making sure to install it
into c:\Legacy (that's the same folder where I just put the folder
from my old C:--is this right?)

Surely that's not all there is to it? And are there issues with this
version, with 64bit?
Thanks,
Barbara
