[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 46605] New: EDITING: Only the first part of a large HTML table pastes correctly when copied from Safari
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=46605 Bug #: 46605 Summary: EDITING: Only the first part of a large HTML table pastes correctly when copied from Safari Classification: Unclassified Product: LibreOffice Version: LibO 3.5.0 Release Platform: Other OS/Version: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Status Whiteboard: BSA Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Spreadsheet AssignedTo: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org ReportedBy: danie...@gmail.com Problem description: When attempting to paste in a very large HTML table copied from Safari on Mac OS X, only the first few hundred rows paste in correctly. The remainder all end up in a massive text string at the end of the table. Steps to reproduce: 0. Create a blank, empty spreadsheet. 1. With Safari, select and copy a massive table, like the one at http://dja.ucc.asn.au/spreadsheetbug.html. Wait for the OS to fully copy it. 2. Click on A1, paste. Wait for things to be pasted. 3. Scroll down a bit. Current behavior: A few hundred rows in, the rows will stop being pasted correctly. The formatting will still be applied, but the cells have newlines in them rather than the correct text. Scrolling much further down reveals that the remainder of the text is pasted as one long string in a single cell. Expected behavior: The pasted table is equivalent to the HTML table. [This bug does not affect copying from Firefox or Chrome. However, copying from those browsers results in a different bug which I'm about to report.] Platform (if different from the browser): Mac OS X 10.6.8 Browser: This bug only seems to affect copying from Safari (I'm using Version 5.1.2 (6534.52.7)), not Firefox or Chrome. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 41996] EDITING Can't move slides in slide sorter
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=41996 Raul Montagne montagner...@aim.com changed: What|Removed |Added Platform|All |x86 (IA32) Version|LibO 3.4.3 release |LibO 3.5.0 Release --- Comment #27 from Raul Montagne montagner...@aim.com 2012-02-25 04:50:39 PST --- (In reply to comment #14) -- Could someone who sees the bug give a step-by-step description of how to reproduce it? I know this is difficult and maybe not possible, but it would help a lot ... c.f. Comment 3 at the top. However, in as much detail as I can: * Load the presentation. * Go to slide sorter. * Move the mouse over any slide, and press and hold the (left) mouse button. * Move the mouse anywhere within the slide sorter, the cursor will remain the circle with a line icon. Additionally: * Still holding the mouse button, move the cursor outside the slide sorter 'window' (i.e. to any other part of the LO window). * Move the mouse back into the slide sorter window. Now, when you move the cursor to a valid place to put the slide, the cursor changes to a thumbnail of the slde and lets you place it as want to. Hope this helps. Incidentally, since I filed the original report I've been updated to LO 3.4.4 (OOO340m1, build 402) and the problem persists. Best way is to insert your screenshots into a DRAW document and to add comments that explain what you want to show - Contribute a step by step instruction containing every key press and every mouse click how to reproduce your problem (due to example in Bug 43431) – if possible contribute an instruction how to create a sample document from the scratch - add information -- what EXACTLY is unexpected (you always are asked to save, can not open directly mail attachment?) -- and WHY do you believe it's unexpected (cite Help or Documentation!) -- concerning your PC -- concerning your OS (Language) -- concerning your LibO localization (UI language, Locale setting) –- Libo settings that might be related to your problems -- how you launch LibO and how you opened the sample document –- If you can contribute an OOo Issue that might be useful -- everything else crossing your mind after you read linked texts Even if you can not provide all demanded information, every little new information might bring the breakthrough. What do you mean by data sheet style form ? Are you creating the form in Writer or in Calc ? Please produce a bug report with detailed steps that can be reproduced, and a sample document, otherwise this bug report will be closed as invalid. Alex Hi Alex, The subject of the report included the keywords; Base, form and wizard. If you are unfamiliar with the database component of LibreOffice (called Base) please pass this bug report on to another who is. My report is concise and describes the issue exactly: Mac OS 10.7.3 This is the platform and operating system version. LibreOffice 3.5.0 This is the software title and version. Base component This is the software component used (i.e. Not Calc or Writer.) Using form wizard to create data sheet style form. This is what I was doing preceding the crash. (i.e. do this procedure to re-create the crash.) (See attached screen shot. Note highlighted areas.) When form opens LibreOffice locks up and crashes. This is the result of the above procedure. Apple crash report attached. This indicates that a complete crash report is attached if you need more detailed information about the crash. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 46071] EDITING: Math formula editor frezees after upgrading to 3.5 - PLEASE HELP
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=46071 --- Comment #7 from Andy silva...@katamail.com 2012-02-25 17:08:36 PST --- Hi Elias, I think your workaround was already implicit in the post made on 2012-02-15 07:34:58 PST. It's actually even easier: you do not need any additional uninstall and install in my experience, it suffices to delete the registrymodifications.xcu file in your LO profile, and the next time you run the app a wholly new profile is created and the math editor works again. However as I wrote then, IMHO you're understating the problem: if you're a longtime and heavy user, you have probably customized LO extensively, and throwing away all such customization is a huge waste of time. Of course if you are using LO just as it comes out of the box, this will not be a problem. Maybe I am too much keen on optimizing, but on average I have modified about 40-50% of all the original toolbars, carefully choosing and placing the best buttons for the most used functions and commands in each specific application. Often LO does not even offer you an icon for some commands, but you need one or the command will eat away your space as it is written explicitly in the toolbar, so I had to search for a suitable one somewhere else. And I have also added a lot of hotkeys. In any case the fact is simple: for people who want/need to use the math formula editor, but do not want/are not able to fiddle with technical workarounds, macros, deletions of hidden profiles and the like, this is a showstopper: it makes you want to avoid upgrading. For example, I urged all my students not to move to 3.5 for the moment, to avoid the ensuing chaos of counseling each one on the problem and its complex solutions. Of course I am hardly able to judge what is really important and urgent and maybe this problem is considered very low priority when compared to others because most people do not use the math editor. But for those who do but are not technically proficient, unless a 3.5.0.1 soon kills the problem, these are tough times -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
