Here is an example file tags - LibreOffice test.ods that made from a file I'm working with. The actual data replaced with synthetic one. This file is used for generate tags for a website. Some of operations in this spreadsheet are manual sortings when source data is being sorted and placed to a new location. For example of faulty sorting try: 1. Open the file tags - LibreOffice test.ods in the LibreOffice Calc 2. Choose the page SRC data 3. Select a data range F11:F25 4. Select Main menu/Data/Sort.../Current selection/Options/ 5. Uncheck Range contains column labels 6. Press OK This action works normally on Win 7, LibreOffice Calc Version 3.6.4.3 (Build ID: 2ef5aff), and doesn't work on Ubuntu 12.10, LibreOffice Calc Version 3.6.2.2 (Build ID: 360m1(Build:2)) After this action on Ubuntu selected data stays unchanged. I noticed that row height for rows, contained selected data range reduces a little after this abnormal sorting in Ubuntu. My Ubuntu configuration and settings are not optimal, maybe. Makes ugly documents. The key problem is the default cell border width. Both Excel and LO use a think, 1 pixel border when a border is drawn using the native defaults on both platforms. However, a default border in a document created in Excel is not converted to a default LO border. Instead, a thicker border is created. So the formatting looks different. For documents where the borders is applied to a contiguous grid of cells, the converted document looks ugly. Steps to reproduce: 1. Create a native excel document, and apply the default borders to create a box border for the cell (all sides). Such a document is attaced. 2. Import this document into LO. 3. With the document open in LO, choose a blank cell and apply a box default border with LO. Current behavior: After step 3, note how the border width just created is thin (1 px) and the imported Excel content has a much thicker border. Expected behavior: The default border width in Excel should convert to the default border with in LO. Therefore, there should be no visible difference between the two borders of step 3. They should both be as think as the border created in LO. https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=59481 --- Comment #11 from Alex Thurgood ipla...@yahoo.co.uk --- (In reply to comment #10) Hi Robert, There is no other connector available for users of Linux-rpm-systems. When I try to install http://extensions.libreoffice.org/extension-center/mysql-native-connector- for-mac-osx/releases/1.0.1 I have asked for these connector extensions to be withdrawn and the pages deleted, since I have no intention of maintaining stuff for a moving target, so I wouldn't even consider them for testing. There is a difference between *.deb and *.rpm. Yes, of course, I'l well aware of that, but my home built connectors are not packaged according to one or another distribs packaging system, they come as raw OXT files. I'll post copies of my own 32bit and 64bit Linux connectors here. You can always try them out with your respective 32bit or 64bit OS to see if it makes a difference. My guess, from previous experience, is that it won't because the version numbers of the libraries/paths required to build the connectors on each different Linux OS might well vary such as to render my Ubuntu based ones useless on a system such as Suse, Arch, Fedora, etc. Alex -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
