[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 88989] Color picker actions of toolbar buttons font color and background color seem unintuitive
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=88989 Jay Philips changed: What|Removed |Added CC||heiko.tie...@user-prompt.co ||m, philip...@hotmail.com --- Comment #6 from Jay Philips --- I guess i'd have to agree with Bryant here as i would expect the same behaviour when i click on the main button as when i click the drop down to select another color. The font color button isnt a highlight type function, so why should it act like that if i click the main button, but act differently when i select a color from the drop down. So if i start typing some text and then select the drop down to change the font color blue, then go back to another section which has a different font color and want start typing in blue there, i cant click on the main button, i have to open the drop down and select blue again. @Heiko: What are your thoughts? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 89749] New: UX Drawing first side of polygon in LibreOffice Draw requires click and drag but every side after uses a click.
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=89749 Bug ID: 89749 Summary: UX Drawing first side of polygon in LibreOffice Draw requires click and drag but every side after uses a click. Product: LibreOffice Version: 4.2.7.2 release Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: minor Priority: medium Component: Draw Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: gabs...@gmail.com When drawing a polygon in LibreOffice Draw the first side of the polygon requires a "click and drag" movement whilst every side of the polygon thereafter only uses a "click" to insert a new point/side. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open LibreOffice Draw. 2. Click on the up arrow on "Curve" in the bottom drawing toolbar and select "Polygon" 3. Click and drag on the page to create the first side of the polygon. 4. Click to create every side thereafter. The first side requires the user to use a click and drag to create that side which is consistent with how a standard line is drawn, however every side thereafter only requires a click to insert a point and thereby create another side of the polygon. This behaviour seems inconsistent. To draw the polygon the user should click to insert points and not have to click and drag to start. I have put the oldest version affected as 4.2.7.2 but I suspect this is inherited from OpenOffice. UX advice may be required. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=61882 Jean-Baptiste Faure changed: What|Removed |Added CC||jbfa...@libreoffice.org --- Comment #6 from Jean-Baptiste Faure --- Nobody said to close this enhancement. The request is: please test again with current stable version and say us if the reported issue is still there. That said, the text appears in front of the arrow; it is clear if you give the text a color different from the arrow color. You can too move the text above the arrow: click on the text and apply Align Bottom in the sidebar. If you insert a second paragraph with a small font size you can define the distance between the text and the arrow (play with the spacing below the paragraph). (Example glyphs of Unicode ranges from hex-10b00 to hex-10b3f (Avestan) and from hex-10b78 to hex-10b7f (Inscriptional Pahlavi)) Are they been displayed correctly in Microsoft features like Word or managed in Keyboard Layout Creator? If so where? In Unicode Code Charts-7.0.0 there are many glyphs from ranges hex-1 (Linear B Syllabary) up to hex-e01ef (Variation Selectors Supplement). If so in which features are they worked out e.g. in Word or Keyboard Layout Creator etc.? As far as I can see the above mentioned problems are not yet solved neither in Windows 8.1 nor in the newest version of Windows 10. What's the matter? Why these difficulties with these Unicode Code ranges? In Ubuntu versions there are no problems!!!? Do Tavultesoft Keyboard Layouts support these above described Unicode ranges ? E.g. Keyboards for Avestan, Inscriptional Pahlavi, Linear B Syllabary so on? Does Office 365 support these above described Unicode ranges ? E.g. Keyboards for Avestan, Inscriptional Pahlavi, Linear B Syllabary so on? The fonts "Ahuramazdanew" and "AhuramazdaPlusTranslit" are to be used in LibreOffice only in Microsoft's operating systems Windows XP and Windows 8.1 but not in Ubuntu versions, e.g. in Ubuntu 14.10. AbiWord in Ubuntu 14.10 however does use these two fonts "Ahuramazdanew" and "AhuramazdaPlusTranslit". I think there must be something like a bug in Ubuntu's LibreOffice versions? Connecting the scanner (Canon LiDE110) via USB to the computer. 2. Open LO and create a new empty writer-document. 3. Choose menu->insert->media->scan->select source... 4. The value in "device used" is "genesys:libusb:001:002" and in "Resoulution (DPI)" is 4800 preselected. 5. I try to change the dpi-value into another value, but if I select another entry as 4800 or 75, the value jumps immediately back to 4800. So I can only scan in 4800 or 75 dpi. 6. I change the values in scan mode: "mode" to "Color" and "depth" to 16 7. I click "Create preview". 8. The preview is useless. 9. I click "scan" 10. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=89581 --- Comment #4 from Nick Levinson --- You're right. I probably thought the Bookmark command was for use like in browsers, thus for bookmarking whole pages or files, not locations within a file. It's probably too late to rename the command. A bit cumbersome to use, not as I remember a similar feature in Macintosh System 6 or one of its applications (MS Word 3 or 4?) decades ago, but it's probably not practical to simplify this command pair (Bookmark and Navigator). I didn't know about Reminder, I wouldn't have thought the word meant this, it doesn't seem to be in my version of Writer (not in menus without checking submenus and not in Help), and I understand my LibreOffice version is now at EOL. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=89743 Bug ID: 89743 Summary: FORMATTING: Format All Comments causes black background for rest of line Product: LibreOffice Version: 4.4.1.2 rc Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: Windows (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: gordon1dr...@yahoo.com Created attachment 113778 --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=113778&action=edit screenshot1 I used the Format All Comments to change the font. The blackness goes away when you move the mouse over it or if you minimize and restore the window. I thought it was just on any comment with more than one line but the attached screenshot shows otherwise. I also thought it included the one-liner because that was the one that I clicked on to Format All Comments. Maybe separate issue of focus: I reopened the document to see if this was a temporary annoyance. I did the Format All Comments and there were no instances of blackness. So I tried Format All Comments again and the dialog does not appear. You have to click on the document again for it to work. After changing the font, the blackness is back. Question: Should the User timestamp on comment replies be formatted as well? It looks like it is just text and has nothing to distinguish it from the comment content. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 81849] LibreOffice is slow with linked or embedded sound files
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=81849 --- Comment #14 from Pjotr --- I tried this now with the newest LibreOffice 4.4.1.2 on Mint-Mate Rebecca (17.1) 64bit and I can confirm that the issue starts with adding the necessary GStreamer backend for LibreOffice. Strange enough it does not affect an embedded .OGA (Therora) video but on .OGG (Vorbis) it does... The size of the audio fragment is not the issue. After installing the GStreamer backend for LibreOffice the file concerned opens very slowly, showing no thumbnail-slides in the editor at first and switching from a slide thumbnail that either preceeds or succeeds the one with the audo fragment temporarily freezes the editor eg. the whole program. This happens as well in a completely new document while adding an audio fragment in the first slide I made whether using a 16b PCM .WAV, MP3 or Vorbis file. It takes Impress 10 seconds every time to start the fragment. I cannot observe uncommon processing time for that too is inaccessibe at the time LO waits to start. I hope this might ring a bell to the developers.
