I tried again with more patience, and after choosing tools-> options I didn't
click into the LibreOffice window:
LibreOffice doesn't freeze, but it took about 2 minutes until the options
window popped up.

So it seems (at least for version 6.2.5.2) that one just has to wait too long a
time until the options window is ready.

Will there be a backport to 6.2.5?

As I understood, this is currently the latest stable release and will still be
offered in parallel to 6.3 once this gets stable, as a "more conservative",
i.e. even "more stable", release, especially for business users.

However using it on a notebook is actually pretty annoying with the current
scrolling behaviour also - or maybe especially - if you're a business user...

So you can basically assume to almost never find a "real" kde5 / kf5 bug, but a
bug in the underlying qt5 plugin. Most of the code in kf5 is just boilerplate.

/me also tried sloccount, but that doesn't seem to account header files...

So I very much assume you're right and this is a dup of bug 125201, so I'm
closing is as that.

Smooth scrolling isn't yet implemented, nevertheless current scrolling
implementation in 6.3 should fix the erratic behavior you reported in this bug.

Open attached file. It was produced by PowerPoint365. It has a shape with
handle. Make sure, that the handle is moveable. Save the presentation to odp
format and close it. Open the odp file. Try to move the handle. The handle is
visible, but you can not move it.

This is no regression, but the error exists from the beginning.

Hello! I'm looking for this. If I understood right, this extension adds
japanese dictionary which can show readings of kanji and words? If this right,
you must notice that furigana will not work properly without following module:

removing the Font-substitution meta -- bug 103342 as this is a usage issue.

Modifying the style(s) and applying it will replace all references to the not
present "Cubiculum" font for the ODF document embedded into the 'hybrid' PDF.
Potentially an issue in the PDF export filter if you chose to embed the fonts
which does not appear to be the case as the File -> Properties -> Font tab of
the hybrid PDF's document shows the font embedding not enabled.

The orginal 'document' has no assigned font or layout, just its encoding.

With that LibreOffice does the correct thing with appropriate import filter.

The relevant section of the documentation reads: "Condition is a simplified,
regular expression-like pattern, which must be met before the affix can be
applied. (Dot signs an arbitrary character. Characters in braces sign an
arbitrary character from the character subset. Dash hasn't got special meaning,
but circumflex (^) next the first brace sets the complementer character set.)"

So, no mention of a leading circumflex in an expressly "simplified" pattern.
Nor is there mention of the following regex-like patterns that are currently
used in SFX statements in af_ZA.aff: ".{1,3}"; ".+"; "(d|t)"

Furthermore I've grepped my way through all .aff files currently in the
repository, and found no other that uses any of these for SFX/PFX conditions.

Not sure if this helps, or catches this instance, but for libstdc++ there
appears to be a define "_GLIBCXX_DEBUG", which enables some kind of iterator
debugging. Likewise for libc++:
http://releases.llvm.org/8.0.0/projects/libcxx/docs/DesignDocs/DebugMode.html#iterator-debugging-checks

You mistakenly had not selected the document to open in Writer (via the os
FilePicker and all files *.*) and are then trying to assign the import filter
to use.

The file picker is provided by the os/DE, the import filters are provided by
LibreOffice.

Of course if you want the file to appear when not first selecting it--change
its file type extension from ".h-c" to simply ".txt".

On selection of the file, applying the 'Text - Choose Encoding (.txt)' filter,
and making the selection from the 'ASCII Filter Options' dialog, the text of
the document is brought into LibreOffice and assigned a style of "Preformatted
Text" on the "Default" page styles.

No selection of text/paragraph is necessary.

Rather, you should modify both styles (Paragraph, Page) to apply them to the
imported text. Save to .ott template--useful if you have multiple instances of
this format to import--and load its styles in advance.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 126509] New: Possible Regression: Difficulty to Scroll Up Using Two Fingers on Mouse Pad

2019-07-22 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=126509

Bug ID: 126509
Summary: Possible Regression: Difficulty to Scroll Up Using Two
Fingers on Mouse Pad
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.2.5.2 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: UI
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: mails.bugs.documentfoundation@gunter.ohrner.net

Description:
Using KDE5 VCL, it's very difficult to scroll up using two-finger mouse pad
scroll since several releases.

Scrolling downwards works, even though much faster than in other applications,
while scrolling upwards shows very erratic scroll behaviour and is barely
usable only, if at all.

This sounds like a similar problem as the following issue (or possibly a
regression):

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=97288

The first release where this happened was *not* 6.2.5.2, but earlier, but I
don't really know which release.

In any case it does happen with 6.2.5.2.

It affects at least Writer and Calc, I did not test Draw and Impress so far.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Start LibreOffice under KDE5 (or with KDE 5 VCL)
2. Open a Writer document with more than one page or any Calc sheet
3. Scroll down a bit using touchpad, mouse or keyboard
4. Try to scroll upwards again using two-finger scroll on the mouse pad.

Actual Results:
Erratic, "jumpy" scrolling behaviour at step 4.

Depending on the scrolling / finger speed on the mouse pad, LibreOffice will
actually scroll even further down on in the document instead of up.

Expected Results:
Smooth upwards scrolling as in every other application, and comparable to
downwards scrolling behaviour in every application including LibreOffice.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

OpenGL enabled: Yes

Additional Info:
Version: 6.2.5.2
Build-ID: 1:6.2.5-0ubuntu0.18.04.1~lo1
CPU-Threads: 8; BS: Linux 4.18; UI-Render: GL; VCL: kde5;
Gebietsschema: de-DE (de_DE.UTF-8); UI-Sprache: de-DE
Calc: threaded

Don't see much advantage here. If we introduce relative values we need an
option to switch back as users are familiar with absolute values and wouldn't
accept a hard cut. And I don't see the behavior in MSO: bullet position is
0.63cm by default for the first level and when I tab to second it's 1.9cm
(context menu > adjust list indents). So WFM from my side.

I make a mistake in the "Steps to reproduce"
The items amount is 3000 instead of 4000. it should be as follow
1. ENTER ALL ROWS and subtotal as following:
ITEMS 6000 <-- subtotal(B3:B10)
-
  3000
  1000
  2000
