Could be the reason for this bug is
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=139267. The connection to
the database will be lost. Seems LO 7.1 tries to save the connection at a new
place (doesn't read the information from older versions from LO) and couldn't
read any saved information for the database connection.

2020-12-27 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=139269

Bug ID: 139269
Summary: Pasting text into master slides shouldn't be allowed
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.3.0.3 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: minor
  Priority: medium
 Component: Impress
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: ba...@caesar.elte.hu
Blocks: 102341

Start a presentation, switch to Master view via View -> Slide Master, click
into a text box, and paste text into it.

=> It's possible to paste text into a master slide.

Normal editing is disallowed, the placeholder entries can only be formatted,
thus pasting shouldn't be allowed, either.

Observed using LO 7.2.0.0.alpha0+ (2577d9ecea199ca2c10d852cf279053a1b22faf7),
5.3.0.3 / Ubuntu. In earlier versions Impress crashes for me when I switch to
Master view.

2020-12-27 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=50893

Dear sotnikov123,

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat:
https://kiwiirc.com/nextclient/irc.freenode.net/#libreoffice-qa

Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone!

Warm Regards,
QA Team

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 139268] New: Slow typing or scrolling after inserting pictures or photos

2020-12-27 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=139268

Bug ID: 139268
Summary: Slow typing or scrolling after inserting pictures or
photos
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 7.0.3.1 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: queenmed...@gmail.com

Description:
After inserting a picture or image, the keyboard is extremely slow, so I cannot
input.
The same goes for adding a caption.
If you set the image anchor to "as character", it gets a little better, but the
lag is still severe.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. just insert image, png, jpg..etc
2. type keyboard any characters.
3.

Actual Results:
cursor and scroll is almost stop,,and appeared character you typed appeared so
slowly one by one.
and still slow

Expected Results:
typing works well. not lag

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: Yes

Additional Info:
Archlinux and windows 10 has the problems.
I set SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN to gen or gtk3 or qt5, it couldn't solve.
SAL_DISABLE_OPENCL=1 and SAL_DISABLEGL=1 are neither.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 139220] Selection of imported elements very slow

2020-12-27 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=139220

Confirmed.

It isn't specific to imported PDFs. You can duplicate the problem like this:
Draw a small object like a filled ellipse. Select, use Duplicate to make 15
copies at a small offset. Now select all 16, copy, click off them, paste, move.
Repeat, doubling each time.

Here are the times I get to select N ellipses on 2 different PCs running older
and more recent LibreOffice. Note that PC #2 is much faster than #1 in general.

#1) Pentium-M, LibreOffice-6.2.8 32-bit on 32-bit Linux, Gtk2
# objects: seconds to select:
  32 <1
  64 <1
 128 <1
 256 <1
 512 1
1024 2

#2) Core-2, LibreOffice-6.4.6 64-bit on 64-bit Linux, Gtk3
# objects: seconds to select:
  32 <1
  64 <1
 128 1
 256 3
 512 17
1024 128

I think I would call this a non-linear performance regression.

Just FYI: LO configuration is normally deployed using an extension, like in
https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/File:LibreOffice_config_extension_writing.pdf

Now AFAIK "unopkg --shared" extension deployment is broken on MacOS and you
normally have to re-register shared extensions after update, so it's a bit
inconvenient that way, but Munich / LiMux used it for years for deployment, so
at least it's proven on Linux and Windows.

  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)

Open https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=168523 and link the
database to LO through Tools → Options → LibreOffice Base.

Open the *.odt-file.

Edit the form.
Right click on a field and chose the properties for the form.
Seems data source is empty.
Chose the data source "Beispiel_Sport_HSQLDB".
Chose the table "rel_Teilnehmer_Sportart".
Save the form.
Close the form.
Open the form again.

Edit the form and have a look: The data source has been gone.

This behavior appears with LO 7.1.0.1 and OpenSUSE 15.2. 64bit rpm Linux. It
doesn't happen with LO 7.0.4.2.

Don't see the workflow for adding new rules comprehensive.
Only convenient in rare use case for adding a hole bunch of similar rules like
is cell value =1 =2 =3 ...

Example with internal HSQLDB - connect database and open odt-file in LO

All this I tested with OpenSUSE 15.2 64bit rpm Linux and different LO-versions.
Works up to LO 7.0.4.2, fails with LO 7.1.0.1.

The examples are very special: The database is a text-database. You can't input
values in the table. And the only table in the database is the table for the
values, which should be shown (and changed) through the list box - and could
never be changed.

If I try it with a "normal" internal HSQLDB and an external Writer form I get a
different result:
Open the attached *.zip
Connect the database inside this *.zip with LO by Tools → Options → LibreOffice
Base ...
Open the *.odt-file.
Both list boxes are filled with data in LO 7.0.4.2 an all earlier versions of
LO.
Both list boxes aren't filled with data in LO 7.1.0.1

This is one of the different bugs I detected with LO 7.1.0.1 when testing this.

The second might be related: When creating the SQL for list boxes there isn't
shown any content when testing the query. You can't test this again, because
there is a third bug: It seems to be impossible to edit the SQL-code when it
has been created. The button with the 3 points has been gone in LO 7.1.0.1.

I could confirm the list boxes don't show any content when opening an external
form with LO 7.1.0.1

Yes, that would indeed be a bug.

Stuart hasn't replied yet (holiday and all that), so I'll just give my opinion
as an inexperienced QA member -- either reopening this bug or submitting a new
bug is fine, but make sure to attach the problematic .docx document (make sure
to remove private and sensitive information first, see
https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/Bugzilla/Sanitizing_Files_Before_Submission)
so that other people can reproduce the bug.

In LO54 the image was not rotated at all.
In a LO60 daily the image is rotated and shows already the wrong position.
Likely no regression but an implementation error.

It is likely mainly an export bug, because opening a file made by Excel has
correct rotation, size and position, only the anchor type is wrong.
Import problems are already tracked in bug 129063 and bug 113515.

I have looked for duplicates, but didn't found one.

Nothing new here. The "^$" or "$^" 'regex' matches are not defined in the ICU
libs and are coded as needed. For Writer that is in findtxt.cxx with the
'bChkEmptyPara' tests.

Seems like the 'EMPTY' values of sw Table cells are not treated in similar
fashion during "^$" or "$^" regex finds of empty paragraphs.

If possible, seems an overdue enhancement to make our regex finds of empty
elements consistent.

The data series property has the option "Include values from hidden cells". Use
that to show the hidden series too. The option affects all series, although set
in the properties of a single series.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 117226] Introduce formatting of "Lines Changed" in Writer change tracking (VIEWING, PRINTING, PDF)

2020-12-27 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=117226

Hello,

I just noticed that Bug 117226 has been changed into "duplicate" of bug 38726.

This is incorrect.

While the basic goals are similar, bug 38726 requests a way to set the document
to "bars only".

This can already be achieved by setting all display changed to "black without
underlining".

Bug 117226 is a request to add the ability to format the change bars
themselves, as the bars are currently way to narrow to be easily seen
in printed or pdf documents.

Attachment contains spreadsheet and examples when rows expanded or collapsed

Grouped rows in a spreadsheet are not shown in a chart if that group is
collapsed. This behavior was seen in versions 6.4.7 and 7.0.4. I don't know if
it was seen in earlier versions.
