That's a PNG, not an mp4. Do you have an mp4 you could share and that does not
play for you? Note that mp4 is only a container and the video codec inside
could be anything.

Most, or all, operations on tables, or within tables cannot be undone (i.e.
Undo doesn't work for them). This includes adding and removing columns and
rows, and formatting of cells or cell ranges (e.g. colors, borders etc.)

I would think this bug would be a dupe, but I couldn't find one.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 149566] picture scaling problem

I see the problem that after I change Height/Width by will LO sometimes changes
the values unwanted and sometimes unnoticed. Thats not good at all.

Aspect ratio sometimes changes unwanted. Its time consuming checking many
pictures that were once ok for such behaviour.

> Image goes outside the page area (bit has the desired result for the OP)

I do not have a problem when picture is going outside, because I can see and
change this.

there are 2 problems for me:
- problem 1: I like using mouse making picture bigger, but there is a
 unwanted limit there. I do not like this limit,
 because the picture should go down further.
 To do so I then have to use time consuming menu.
- problem 2: When I resize by menu I have to try different values to see
 which value is best. LO sometimes overrides what I choose and
 then aspect ratio can change unwanted.

> It doesn't restore original size (blocked by paper
> size) but makes mess of Aspect Ratio at the same time (not good, IMHO)

Example of numbering taking the direct formatting from the last word on a

I can reproduce the problem also with numbered headings, as you can see in the
attached screenshot. Tested on both:

Version: 7.2.5.1
Version: 7.3.4.2

(In reply to John from comment #5)
> The workaround (for both "flavors" of this bug) is to finish a problematic

This is a problem with headings and cross-references: if you add a space at the
end of the heading paragraph and then cross-reference that heading, the field
will show the space, and that can be problematic if you need a punctuation mark
immediately after.

2022-06-14 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=149569

Bug ID: 149569
   Summary: Spreadsheet refuses to use the correct number of
decimal places
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 7.3.4.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: jeff9...@hotmail.com

Description:
Formatting Error

Spreadsheet formula: =(A3+BC)/C3
A3: $25,000.00 (Cell format: currency with 2 decimal places)
B3: $66,667.00 (Cell format: currency with 2 decimal places)
C3: 33.3% (Cell format: percent with 1 decimal place)
Result: 275,001

(25,000+66,667)/33.3% SHOULD equal 275,276

275,001 is the result of (25,000+66,667)/33.%

I have manually set the number of decimal places to 1 when cell C3 is formatted
as a percent.
I have manually set the number of decimal places to 3 when cell C3 is formatted
as a number.
I have manually set the number of decimal places for cells A3 and B3 to 0 when
formatted as currency AND as a number.

Nothing I can do will get cell C3 to recognize 33.3% or 0.333 correctly.

Steps to Reproduce:
Spreadsheet formula: =(A3+BC)/C3
A3: $25,000.00 (Cell format: currency with 2 decimal places)
B3: $66,667.00 (Cell format: currency with 2 decimal places)
C3: 33.3% (Cell format: percent with 1 decimal place)

Actual Results:

275,001

Expected Results:
275,276

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
Divided the sum of 25,000 and 66,667 by 0.333

Possible solution / regression?
===
After many frustrating attempts and searches on the internet, finding reports
of problems with Java / JDK integration in LO, I dumped everything related to
Java / JDK on my Mac, as I don't use it anymore.
- In the user library: folder "Java" in Application Support
- In the system library: all JDKs
In System/Library: JavaVirtualMachines
jdk1.8.0_91.jdk
jdk1.8.0_102.jdk
1.6.0.jdk
- In the LO user profile: java preferences

Now, I've been working for some time without freezes, whereas LO was constantly
crashing before.
Maybe something with JDK integration could be the cause, possibly confusion
between the different versions on the computer (required by different
programs).

Additional notes / unsolved issues
1) This doesn't explain why LO alternated between several trouble-free months
and periods with repeated freezes.
2) I've obviously tried deactivating JDK usage in LO preferences, but this
somehow didn't keep it from crashing.

So I'd suggest looking in the Spindumps for anything in this direction. I
couldn't find anything, except notice conspicuous waiting calls (mutexwait,
etc.), which agrees with LO becoming unresponsive with essentially zero CPU
usage. So it seems to wait for something that never comes: deadlock / race
condition / bug in JDK? Does that sound realistic?

2022-06-14 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=149568

Bug ID: 149568
   Summary: Cannot remove 'other sounds' from Impress transition
sound list
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 7.2.7.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED

Expected Results:
Ability to remove user sounds which are no longer required

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
Provide a means of editing the 'other sounds' list

--- Comment #15 from Julien Nabet  ---
Taking a look at sw/source/uibase/app/applab.cxx, there are 2 functions:
- lcl_InsertLabText for Labels
https://opengrok.libreoffice.org/xref/core/sw/source/uibase/app/applab.cxx?r=6b147d33=1968=102

102 static const SwFrameFormat *lcl_InsertLabText( SwWrtShell& rSh, const
SwLabItem& rItem,
103  SwFrameFormat , SwFieldMgr& rFieldMgr,
104  sal_uInt16 nCol, sal_uInt16 nRow, bool bLast )

It uses the field to display it when clicking on "New Document"
124  OUString sDBName;
125  if( (!rItem.m_bSynchron || !(nCol|nRow)) && !(sDBName =
InsertLabEnvText( rSh, rFieldMgr, rItem.m_aWriting )).isEmpty() && !bLast )
126  {
127  sDBName = comphelper::string::setToken(sDBName, 3, DB_DELIM,
u"True");
128  SwInsertField_Data aData(SwFieldTypesEnum::DatabaseNextSet, 0,
sDBName, OUString(), 0, );
129  rFieldMgr.InsertField( aData );
130  }

- lcl_InsertBCText for Business cards
https://opengrok.libreoffice.org/xref/core/sw/source/uibase/app/applab.cxx?r=6b147d33=1968=67#67

67 static const SwFrameFormat *lcl_InsertBCText( SwWrtShell& rSh, const
SwLabItem& rItem,
68  SwFrameFormat ,
69  sal_uInt16 nCol, sal_uInt16 nRow )

it doesn't use any field from database but does:
88  if(!rItem.m_bSynchron || !(nCol|nRow))
89  {
90  SwAbstractDialogFactory* pFact = SwAbstractDialogFactory::Create();
91  ::GlossarySetActGroup fnSetActGroup =
pFact->SetGlossaryActGroupFunc();
92  if ( fnSetActGroup )
93  (*fnSetActGroup)( rItem.m_sGlossaryGroup );
94  SwGlossaryHdl* pGlosHdl = rSh.GetView().GetGlosHdl();
95  pGlosHdl->SetCurGroup(rItem.m_sGlossaryGroup, true);
96  pGlosHdl->InsertGlossary( rItem.m_sGlossaryBlockName );
97  }

m_sGlossaryBlockName and other infos are loaded with:
259  SwLabCfgItem::SwLabCfgItem(bool bLabel) :
260  ConfigItem(bLabel ? OUString("Office.Writer/Label") :
OUString("Office.Writer/BusinessCard")),
261  m_bIsLabel(bLabel)
https://opengrok.libreoffice.org/xref/core/sw/source/uibase/envelp/labimg.cxx?r=0a501634#259

See
https://opengrok.libreoffice.org/xref/core/officecfg/registry/schema/org/openoffice/Office/Writer.xcs#4732
(notice that there's no value for Group and Block).

=>
- where can we find these values in UI? (without using Expert Configuration)
- above all, it seems it wasn't planned at all in Business Card to use Database
field so I wonder if this bug is valid (and if we shouldn't revert the commit).

Finally, I think we should find what was the purpose of Business cards wizard
and how to use it correctly?

Let's reopen this one meanwhile.

--- Comment #3 from Telesto  ---
Adding UX. Case B looks like the bug to me, but OP appears to see it as desired
result

If size isn't allowed a popup should appear, or spinbox should limit the input
values. Not allowing to put 100% height/width as scale and actually doing
something different

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 149566] picture scaling problem

2022-06-14 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=149566

--- Comment #2 from Telesto  ---
Case A
1. Open attachment 180766
2. Select the image on page 5 (bild2 in the navigator)
3. Press F4 (or right click image properties)
4. Crop tab
5. Set scale to 100% for height and width
6. Press OK
7. Press F4 again -> Notice Height 37% width 53% (likely because hitting the
page border

Seems OK to me?

--
Case B
1. Open attachment 180766
2. Select the image on page 6 (bild67 in the navigator)
3. Drag the bottom right corner to right bottom of the page (so enlarge as far
as possible)
4. Press F4 or Right Click Properties
5. Crop tab
5. Set scale to say 50% for height and width
6. Press OK

Image goes outside the page area (bit has the desired result for the OP)

--
Case C (addition by me, Telesto)
On page 7 (Bild1 in Navigator) resizing is indeed odd (for the cropped image)
1. Open attachment 180766
2. Select the image on page 7 (bild1 in the navigator)
3. Select the right bottom and try to increase size.. refusing
3. Press F4 (or right click image properties)
4. Crop tab
5. Set scale to 50% for height and width
6. Press OK
7. Image size will change.. (but crippling the crop area; the visible area
changes)
8. Press F4 (or right click image properties) and check crop tab (values are
changed)

---
Case D (addition by me, Telesto)
1. Open attachment 180766
2. Select the image on page 6 (bild67 in the navigator)
3. Press F4 or Right Click Properties
4. Position and size tab
5. Press Original Size. It doesn't restore original size (blocked by paper
size) but makes mess of Aspect Ratio at the same time (not good, IMHO)

Indeed, I had tested:
- Database entries appeared
- Table entries appeared
- Database field entries appeared
- click on left arrow make the field appeared at left

I hadn't tried "New Document", depressing...

I don't know at all how is managed the field.

  Reporter: rb.hensc...@t-online.de

Created attachment 180768
  --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=180768=edit
File used in the unit test.

The test below should fail in "save" but it does not.

Problem is, that the validator produces for the double attribute not a string
with "Error", but a string with "Fatal".
So line
if( aContentOUString.indexOf("Error") != -1 )
[https://opengrok.libreoffice.org/xref/core/test/source/bootstrapfixture.cxx?r=5200a736#239]
does not catch the failure.

I guess the line should be
if (aContentOUString.indexOf("Error") != -1 ||
aContentOUString.indexOf("Fatal") != -1)
With that change the test fails as expected. But I don't know whether such
change will produce problems somewhere else.

For reproducing the problem, the following unit test has to be added to file
core/xmloff/qa/unit/draw.cxx and the attached file to core/xmloff/qa/unit/data

CPPUNIT_TEST_FIXTURE(XmloffDrawTest, testTextRotationPlusPre)
{
// import
getComponent() =
loadFromDesktop(m_directories.getURLFromSrc(DATA_DIRECTORY)
 + "tdf149551_verticalText.pptx",

"com.sun.star.presentation.PresentationDocument");
// The file has a shape with attribute vert="vert" in element.
That generates a
// TextPreRotateAngle attribute in CustomShapeGeometry.

// Add a TextRotateAngle attribute.
uno::Reference xShape(getShape(0));
uno::Reference xShapeProps(xShape, uno::UNO_QUERY);
uno::Sequence aGeomSeq;
xShapeProps->getPropertyValue("CustomShapeGeometry") >>= aGeomSeq;
auto aGeomVec(comphelper::sequenceToContainer<
std::vector >(aGeomSeq));
aGeomVec.push_back(comphelper::makePropertyValue("TextRotateAngle",
sal_Int32(45)));
aGeomSeq = comphelper::containerToSequence(aGeomVec);
xShapeProps->setPropertyValue("CustomShapeGeometry", uno::Any(aGeomSeq));

// Save to ODF. Without the fix, a file format error was produced, because
attribute
// draw:text-rotate-angle was written twice, one from TextPreRotateAngle
and the other from
// TextRotateAngle.
utl::TempFile aTempFile;
save("impress8", aTempFile);
}

when scaling picture 3 with mouse on right lower corner as huge as possible

On Linux, at least, WPS 2019 appears to also be unable to copy striked-out text
deleted in Review tracking mode in a first document and paste it with the
deleted portion into a second document. The behavior is therefore similar to
that of LibreOffice and some versions of MS-Office.

When I go into Page > Properties > Background > Hatch and change the default
spacing from 0.01" to 0.1", ok the Page Setup window, save file as ODF drawing,
close the file, reopen the file, the Hatch spacing goes back to the default of
0.01". Not the 0.1" I saved it as.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Page > Properties > Background > Hatch
2.Change the default spacing from 0.01" to 0.1"
3.Save & close the file
4.Open the file, spacing goes pack to default

Actual Results:
Spacing goes pack to default

Expected Results:
Spacing should stay to the value I set.

Reproducible: Always

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 149564] New: FILEOPEN DOCX Large frame in header overlaps frame in footer

2022-06-14 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=149564

Bug ID: 149564
   Summary: FILEOPEN DOCX Large frame in header overlaps frame in
footer
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 7.4.0.0 alpha0+ Master
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: kelem...@ubuntu.com
Blocks: 104522

Created attachment 180764
  --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=180764=edit
The example file in Word 2016 and Writer master with the footer

This is a continuation of bug 149563

The table content of the header in attachment 180759 is very tall, so much that
it overlaps the content in the footer.
The header and footer have negative page margin set, so their content is
imported into textframes. However the Z-order of these textframes is incorrect.
In Word the footer content overlaps the header content, while in Writer the
header content overlaps the footer content.

1, Open attachment 180759
2, Notice that the blue background table in the footer is barely visible in
Writer, but fully visible in Word.

This started in 7.2 with fixing of bug 119952 - before these were not even
visible, so differently bad.

Version: 7.5.0.0.alpha0+ (x64) / LibreOffice Community

Version: 7.4.0.0.alpha0+ (x64) / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: 1bb0e177124d5d6661b72df6c7d848fb23639652
CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 19044; UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win
Locale: en-US (en_SE); UI: en-US
Calc: threaded

Worked in this version on a different machine with a totally modified file
perfected using Excel.
I just loaded the excel in LO, saved it as an odf, deleted the working Excel
pivot table and rebuilt from scratch.
First time I instantly got a message saying LO couldn't create the table but
I'm happy to assume it was a user definition anomaly because the system didn't
crash.
I modified my table layout and it was produced without drama.

Kudos goes to you if you flag it as FIXED works for RAFAEL ;)
