[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 93550] Will not run following installation of 5.0.0 - reports missing dll
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=93550 --- Comment #6 from V Stuart Foote vstuart.fo...@utsa.edu --- (In reply to Bob from comment #5) ... Can I just remove the v4.4 folders or do I need to reinstall it and then uninstall it via Control Panel? An install and uninstall is tried and true for removing the prior 4.x install from your G: drive. Alternatively, LibreOfffice is pretty self contained, and does not lay down too much into the Widnows registry or the GAC and winsxs. Manual removal will work, but a utility like CCleaner is helpful to remove any residual linkages in the Windows registry. ... Alternatively, do you have a 'remove all Libre Office' utility? No, but it might be useful at least for the Windows builds. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 93550] Will not run following installation of 5.0.0 - reports missing dll
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=93550 --- Comment #5 from bobfbu...@aol.com --- Thank you for your extremely prompt feedback. I have downloaded the 64bit version and uninstalled the v5 32bit installation. During this time I noticed that the v4 help facility was still present and I uninstalled that. Further checking with File Manager showed a complete v4.4 installation still present on my G: drive but nor showing in Control Panel / Programs but fully working. Can I just remove the v4.4 folders or do I need to reinstall it and then uninstall it via Control Panel? Alternatively, do you have a 'remove all Libre Office' utility? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

Anyhow, on Windows 8.1 64-bit en-US with an external USB assigned a G: drive letter installing to G:\Program Files\LibreOffice 5 Version: 5.0.0.5 (x64) Build ID: 1b1a90865e348b492231e1c451437d7a15bb262b Locale: en-US (en_US) Can not reproduce. Get a complete installation. LO launches without issue, and the mergelo.dll is present in G:\Program Files\LibreOffice 5\program folder. End with a correct and complete user profile in C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\LibreOffice\4 Assume you are launching the MSI install Run as Administrator. Other than that no idea. But the installer works correctly for me on non-system drives. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=93550 --- Comment #4 from V Stuart Foote vstuart.fo...@utsa.edu --- @bobfburns, So just realized, by the HASH value you posted, you were installing the 32-bit build. My WFM was with the 64-bit build. Perhaps uninstall and see if the 64-bit build behaves better on your non-system drive. Direct links are here: http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/5.0.0.5/win/ But again, check the HASH value of the download against the Metadata details link. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
