[Licq-main] how to start?

2003-11-07 Thread Norberto Bensa
Hello list,

I want to start licq on second directory/folder/config/uin whatever you want
to call it.

$ licq -b /home/nbensa/nuevo
03:52:13: [WRN] Licq: Ignoring stale lockfile (pid 28949)
03:52:13: [ERR] Unable to load plugin (qt-gui): /opt/licq/lib/licq/
licq_qt-gui.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory.
03:52:13: [ERR] IniFile: Warning, failed to find section.
File= /home/nbensa/nuevo/licq.conf
Section = [owners]
03:52:13: [ERR] IniFile: Fatal error, terminating program.

??

Seems like a bug to me. Licq can't start if you don't have a valid licq.conf?

Thanks,
Norberto

I got another one since I switched to 1.2.8/1.3: contacts in invisible mode go
online for a few moments and then invisible again (invisible, not offline.)
Yes, I'm on their "visible to user" lists.

Perhap someone want to take a look at it.

Ok, thank you. I'll try that.

BTW, shouldn't LICQ speak newest protocols? How come Windoze clients
think Licq is an "older client"?

About the network window, I didn't pay attention. I'll do from now on.

Windoze clients (2000/2001/2002) _CAN_ direct connect to people behind
firewalls. I know this 'cos I'm behind a NAT firewall.

Your MUA is broken, find another one.

BTW, DO NOT set Reply-To header to your account it's rude. Sylpheed does
THE RIGHT THING (tm) when I hit reply. No need to set reply-to.

[Licq-main] firewalls, file transfer, v8

2002-03-19 Thread Norberto Bensa

Hello,

just tried V8 (cvs 03/17/02), and I couldn't transfer files (I'm
firewalled). No big deal cos and can open some ports and voila, but I'm
curious; I know Windoze clients can transfer through firewall without
opening any ports.

How can they do that?

May I help? I can capture some icq2000/01 sessions here, just tell what
do you need.

Best regards,
Norberto

your fine.
| To do this edit src/Makefile and edit the licq_kde_gui_la_LIBADD line
to look

| There is already a patch available which lets you do this by running

[Licq-main] can't see contacts

** Please CC'd me, I'm not on this list **

Since the partial implementation of the V8 protocol, I can't see status of
new contacts, i.e., they are *always* offline. Is this a known bug or just
me?

Thanks,
Norberto

P.S.: I'm using the latest CVS version.
