Systems Administrator Vantage Global Services provides outsourcing services to US companies. Leveraging the strong market for technical workers in Chile and the strength of the US dollar, Vantage Global can offer its clients first class services at excellent prices. The Systems Administrator will be responsible for the configuration, security, reliability and maintenance of a number of servers for our clients. The main need is for an administrator for Linux servers. Ideally, the system administrator will be able to assist in the maintenance of a Windows 2003 Server. You will work full time for about four to six weeks during the initial implementation of the server. After that you will provide ongoing system maintenance and be available by telephone 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to respond to critical issues. During the initial implementation the candidate will be responsible for: 1) Installation of firewall and other security measures 2) Configuration of web server (Apache 2, SSL) 3) Installation of supporting software (Perl, Perl modules, PHP, etc.) 4) Implementation of MySQL with support for InnoDB and replication 5) Installation of certificates 6) Writing full backup procedures 7) Writing full system recovery procedures The candidate must speak and write English very well will be working directly with our client in the US. Fluency in English would be a big plus. The candidate will be expected to work on site at Vantage Global Services' office in Santiago during the implementation of the servers. After the initial implementation the candidate may work remotely, but will be required to come to the office for regular meetings. Business skills requirements: ? Self managed ? Organized ? Excellent writing skills ? Strong knowledge of English ? Fluency in English a big plus Technical skill requirements: ? A minimum of 3 years of experience in system administration ? En teoría debía funcionar ya que los pc-clientes c/WIFI tienen como configuración los datos del ROUTER (FW/GW:192.168.0.1) y yo probé con un pc-cliente WIFI cambiando la configuración con los datos de mi MIFW (FW/GW:192.168.1.1) quedando el pc_wifi con una ip:192.168.1.120 y el GW:192.168.1.1 de esta forma debería usar a MIFW como puerta de enlace para salir a INET. De estas pruebas no conseguí nada pero preparé otro pc_linux y lo configure como FW/GW con los datos ip:192.168.0.100 en la T.Red LAN, o sea, lo configure casi con los mismos datos que usa ROUTER para salir a INET y sabes que, FUNCIONO. No entiendo mucho el porque no funciona redireccionando el pc_wifi hacia MIFW con la ip:192.168.1.1, de hecho ni siquiera funcionaron los ping. Bueno espero que tu o alguien que tenga alguna experiencia en esto me pueda dar una mano. Saludos y muchas gracias. PD_1: La versión de mi pc-firewall es (iptables 1.2.9 - Linux version 2.6.8.1-12mdk (Mandrakelinux (Alpha 3.4.1-3mdk)). PD_2: Aunque me haya funcionado no quiero dejarlo así por que esto me conlleva a tener que usar a MIFW con 3 t.red (eth0=WAN, eth1=LAN:192.168.0.0, eth2=LAN:192.168.1.0) y lo peor es que no sé si Linux me acepta mas de 2 T.Red. Basicamente comenta la filosofia del soft. Libre, lo mismo que discutieron hace un par de semanas aqui, a todos nos lo dejo mas que claro aun. El trabajo de él es evangelizar, no ir a enseñar a programar. La idea es disfrutar su visita, y por cierto, tambien sacarse fotos con el ;). OT: Thunderbird a Outlook
Alguien sabe como exportar desde Thunderbird a Outlook / Outlook Express, segun lo que encontrado se necesita como intermediario a Netscape o Eudora, alguien tiene otra solucion ?. Quiza una extension ?. Se agradece desde ya comentarios, respuestas y demases. Saludos a todos. -- Esteban.
